As the state&rsquo;s federally designated organ recovery organization and an accredited tissue bank, we are dedicated to making a profound impact on countless lives.</p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We are seeking a Paramedic Ambulance Specialist to join our team and play a critical role in facilitating the organ donation process through the operation of Indiana Donor Network Ambulances as well as providing, at times, clinical airway skills during in-house donor transport. You will work with a team including an emergency medical technician and an organ recovery coordinator to safely transport donors to our recovery center. Your responsibilities will include:</p><p>Facilitates the organ donation process by operating Indiana Donor Network Ambulances</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs safe operation of ambulance on critical care donor transports from donor hospitals to Indiana Donor Network&rsquo;s Organ and Tissue Center.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs safe operation of ambulances for transplant team movement to/from donor hospital/Indiana Donor Network/various local airports.&nbsp;</p><p>Facilitates the donation process through donor airway management of adult and pediatric patients.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Performs advanced airway management if needed.&nbsp;</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Provides lifesaving and critical interventions to donors</p><p>Chart completion and documentation.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes all required chart documentation accurately.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes all charts and chart corrections as outlined within Indiana Donor Network policy and procedures.</p><p>Ambulance Preparation</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes Pre-transport documentation.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Completes proper documentation for checking ambulance safe operations prior to transport.</p><p>&bull;<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Identifies needed supplies.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a part-time on-call position requiring a minimum of one 16-hour call shift per week.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who We&rsquo;re Looking For</strong></p><p>We seek individuals who are passionate about patient care and the importance of organ donation.
