Description
Reporting to the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Success, the Coordinator of Eagle Edge, Student-Athlete Success Programs will help implement a comprehensive career readiness program to assist the Eagle Edge in providing student-athletes with support in areas such as personal brand management, marketability, leadership, and general career development skills. The Eagle Edge is Emory Athletics' holistic student athlete development program that provides student-athletes the support they need to grow, succeed, and standout during their time at Emory and beyond.
Student-Athlete Development
In coordination with athletics leadership and campus partners, supports a comprehensive career readiness and marketability program for student-athletes; this includes:
Ensuring career programs and presentations reinforce holistic student-athlete development.
Providing student-athletes with tangible career readiness skills (e.g. resumes, networking).
Collaborating on programs with campus units that empower student-athletes to succeed in life after sport.
Coordinates connections with the alumni relations office to provide networking opportunities to student-athletes.
Ensures inclusive programs and resources that meet the needs of all student-athletes, with a focus on those from underrepresented groups.
Assists student-athletes in cultivating their personal brands as a life skill to maximize their personal and professional growth; this includes:
Coordinating education and training that enhances student-athlete understanding of NIL possibilities/marketability and how brand relates to overall career readiness.
Compliance
Assists in NIL monitoring efforts using the INFLCR Verified platform.
General compliance duties as assigned.
External Operations
Coordinates use of INFCLR platform for student-athlete media with external operations.
Assists in collecting information to help tell the stories of student-athlete career journeys.
General Administrative Duties
Assists with administrative roster management.
Assists in organizing staff and student-athlete education and training sessions (e.g. sexual assault prevention, social justice education).
Aids in student-athlete experience surveys and assessments.
Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, and two years of demonstrated experience in student advising, student affairs, intercollegiate and/or professional sports.
Strong abilities to assist in student-athlete development and a commitment to their athletic and academic success.
A working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations is preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
