Whether you're advancing national security, driving innovation in nuclear infrastructure, or supporting critical DOE and DoD operations, you’re part of something bigger here.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is seeking a highly motivated Control System Principal Designer to support ongoing operations in Houston, TX. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Use drafting applications to originate and produce drawings and 3D models of moderate to advanced complexity</li>\n <li>Read, interpret, and generate design drawings of moderate to advanced complexity with minimal supervision from engineering. Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction, generate advanced design details, create new drawings, modify existing drawings, and direct, check and approve work done by other designers</li>\n <li>Ability to develop estimates, schedules, staffing requirements, progress reports, key quantities tracking reports, project scope of services, scope of facilities etc.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Education Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>A combination of education and 15 years' experience (associate degree preferred) in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen</li>\n <li>Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a drug and breath alcohol test, along with a Motor Vehicle Record check</li>\n <li>Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Security Clearance</li>\n <li>Highly skilled in computer aided design (CAD) with demonstrated experience with computer aided</li>\n <li>AutoCAD, SPI, and/or S3D experience</li>\n <li>3D modeling experience required (S3D preferred)</li>\n <li>Must have a working knowledge of Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design</li>\n <li>Background and experience must include drafting/ designer experience in engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection or civil</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Possession of an active DOE/DoD clearance within the past two (2) years is preferred. </li>\n <li>Previous DOE/NNSA work experience. </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Work Schedule</h2>Shift will be dependent upon customer site discretion.\n<h2>Why Omega Technical Services?</h2>\n<p>Omega Technical Services is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and a trusted partner to the Department of Energy, Department of Defense, and other commercial clients, supporting mission-critical projects that shape national security and technological innovation.
