(AIS)</span> is a national scientific services firm supporting maritime activities requiring certification of compliance with environmental regulations as well as collecting data for use by Federal, State, Municipal, and other government agencies along the US coastline. AIS is looking for a Deckhand to support marine survey work off the coast of Massachusetts.</span><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Primary Function:</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">AIS is recruiting a Deckhand to deploy on a vessel conducting hydrographic survey operations in New England. AIS is looking for individuals with offshore experience. The Deckhand will be stationed offshore during 12 hour or 24 hour operations and will be assigned a 12 hour watch daily.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt; font-weight: bold\">Duties/Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Assist with vessel operations and maintenance</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Handle lines during docking and undocking</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Operate deck equipment such as winches, cranes, capstans, or pumps</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Load and unload cargo, supplies, or equipment</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Stand watch and assist with navigation/lookout duties</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Follow safety procedures and participate in drills</span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\">Support emergency response activities</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> Candidates will be paid an hourly rate to be negotiated, and total compensation will vary depending on candidates’ depth of experience.
