As a Staff RN, you'll be at the forefront of patient care, working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to ensure patients/residents receive comprehensive support. </p>\n<p><strong>Your responsibilities will include:</strong><strong> </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess patients' physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs. </li>\n <li>Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. </li>\n <li>Incorporate teaching into care plans to educate patients and families.</li>\n <li>Make referrals to resources as needed. </li>\n <li>Support fellow healthcare professionals. </li>\n <li>Operate within the framework of Providence Health Care's mission, vision, and values.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Please note that this is a temporary position with an end date of March 3, 2027. </strong></p>\n<h2>Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratio</h2>Minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPR) set the minimum number of nurses required to safely care for patients on a given unit. Developed in partnership with the Ministry of Health, the BC Nurses' Union (BCNU), and health organizations across British Columbia, mNPR provides a consistent and transparent approach to staffing that supports safe nursing practice and high-quality patient care. This tailored, values-driven implementation aligns with our commitment to compassionate, innovative, and patient-centred care and positions PHC to meet the evolving health needs of our patients, residents, families, and communities.\n<h2>What You Bring</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives and currently practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.</li>\n <li>Advanced preparation in GI Endoscopy that includes completion of recognized post-basic education in gastroenterology/GI endoscopy nursing and a certificate of completion from the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) in gastroenterology, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
