Lifeguards must demonstrate strong customer service skills with a positive, energetic and outgoing personality. Lifeguards are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of patrons by guarding their area of responsibility. As a lifeguard you are responsible for responding to any level of emergency around the pool area and facility within your training ability. Lifeguards must be able to enforce pool rules in a fair and polite manner.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Identify potential accident hazards</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Remain alert and prevent accidents </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Enforce pool rules to all participants</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Carry a positive attitude toward all job responsibilities </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Handle disciplinary situations with courtesy and fairness</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Respond quickly to the level of your training and emergency action plan</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Remain physically able to demonstrate and perform rescues and lifesaving skills</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Able to meet in-service requirements monthly </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Ability to find qualified substitute for yourself in time of need </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Notifying manager of broken or unsafe equipment</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Able to perform all aquatic duties; roving, climbing into guard chair, sitting in rescue ready position, and overall cleanliness of pool area.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Needs to be rescue ready at all times; equipped with rescue equipment, staff uniform, and whistle while on duty.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Able to work flexible hours </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Responsible in keeping all certifications (PR/CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguarding) up to date to preform your job responsibilities.</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"> Be willing to be active in other Parks and Recreation responsibilities to help us reach our overall mission</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; font-weight: bold\">Qualifications</span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Current American Red Cross PR/CPR, AED, and First Aid Certified. </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\">Training provided by the City of Bentonville if needed</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px\"><span style=\"color: #222222\">We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law</span><span style=\"color: #222222\">.</span></span></p>\n<ol></ol>",
