    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>SUMMARY:&nbsp;</strong>The Flight Nurse provides high quality pre-hospital advanced life support including assessment, triage and treatment utilizing the standards and guidelines established by the Medical Director(s) within scope of practice during the entire transport. They independently assess the nature and extent of illness or injury to establish and prioritize the care needed for safe transport of the critical patient. Must be qualified to provide care for patients across the life span in the assigned clinical area. Responsible for carrying out the company mission and vision during the transport ensuring safety is the highest priority.</p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Provides&nbsp;advanced&nbsp;life&nbsp;support&nbsp;care&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;initial&nbsp;contact&nbsp;until&nbsp;patient&nbsp;care&nbsp;is&nbsp;relinquished&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;accepting medical&nbsp;facility&nbsp;while&nbsp;working&nbsp;in&nbsp;small&nbsp;and&nbsp;compressed&nbsp;spaces.&nbsp;This&nbsp;includes&nbsp;planning&nbsp;and&nbsp;preparing&nbsp;for&nbsp;flight missions through review&nbsp;of&nbsp;patient information, communication&nbsp;with&nbsp;office&nbsp;staff, and sending facility staff.</li><li>Maintains&nbsp;thorough&nbsp;patient&nbsp;care&nbsp;documentation&nbsp;and&nbsp;completes&nbsp;charting&nbsp;within&nbsp;established&nbsp;timelines&nbsp;and guidelines.</li></ul><ul><li>Performs advanced skills and procedures as approved by Medical Directors.</li><li>Provides care within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing didactic, laboratory and clinical&nbsp;experiences.&nbsp;Identifies any&nbsp;educational&nbsp;needs and&nbsp;communicates&nbsp;these&nbsp;to&nbsp;the Education&nbsp;Committee,&nbsp;Lead Educator, or clinical leadership.</li></ul><ul><li>Maintains all required clinical certifications and attends in-services as needed to maintain clinical competence.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Maintains documentation of required licensure, certifications, continuing education, and advanced procedures according to scope of practice.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for reporting medical equipment failures and taking initial steps to ensure repair of equipment.</li><li>Maintains adequate supplies onboard aircraft to deliver patient care. Completes weekly inventory of supplies.</li><li>Responsible for keeping aircraft clean and orderly to ensure rapid response to all transport requests.</li><li>Participates in pre-mission briefings with crew and office staff and provides post mission debriefs.</li><li>Comply with all safety standards during all phases of transport and report all safety issues.</li><li>Reports all exposures, injuries, illnesses, and safety/clinical concerns promptly.</li><li>Serves as a preceptor and/or participates in orientation of new employees, as assigned.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Maintains professional demeanor during performance of assigned duty with colleagues, other transport representatives, hospitals, and the public.</li><li>Participating in committees, projects, activities, and positively represents the company in all interactions in the public and in social media.</li><li>Participate in clinical staff meetings by attending the meeting or reviewing recorded meetings. Responsible for all the information discussed.</li></ul><ul><li>Participates in the development and review of patient care guidelines and other standards as assigned.</li><li>Actively participates in departmental quality improvement projects or other projects as assigned.</li></ul><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Responsible for compliance with all policies contained in the Employee Handbook, Air Ambulance Operations Manual, Medical Crew specific policies, and Patient Care Guideline Manuals.</li></ul><ul><li>Responsible for compliance with all policies governing privacy, EMTALA, and HIPAA compliance.</li><li>Working knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p><p><strong>REQUIRED:</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Education:&nbsp;</strong>Associate degree in Registered Nursing</li></ul><p><strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong>Minimum three (3) years of recent critical care/emergency nursing experience</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><strong>Licenses:&nbsp;</strong>Current unencumbered RN license(s). Will be required to apply and obtain a license for MHP licensed states upon hire.</li><li><strong>Certificates/Courses:&nbsp;</strong>Upon hire BLS/CPR, ACLS and PALS. <u>Within 12 months of hire</u>: Prehospital trauma (PHTLS, ITLS, or TPATC), FEMA NIMS ICS-100/200/IS-700/800/HAZMAT Awareness, and <u>within 24 months of hire</u> <strong>CFRN</strong></li></ul><ul><li><strong>International Requirements:&nbsp;</strong>Must maintain a current passport</li><li><strong>Home base:&nbsp;</strong>Must live within 60 minutes travel time of the Domicile Airport List</li><li><strong>Work week 8 days on and 6 days off.
