Description GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB At Stancil Services, we take pride in building lasting relationships and exceptional spaces across the Carolinas. The Superintendent 1 plays a hands-on, field-based role supporting project delivery from start to finish—coordinating crews, maintaining safety and quality, and ensuring every detail reflects the Stancil standard of excellence. This position is ideal for early-career construction professionals ready to deepen their leadership skills and grow within a company that values integrity, precision, and people. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Project Leadership and Execution o Own each jobsite from mobilization through close-out, maintaining schedule, budget, and quality alignment. Conduct daily site walks to verify production accuracy and subcontractor scope of compliance. Lead weekly trade coordination meetings to drive accountability and resolve conflicts proactively. Oversee field operations, including labor, subcontractors, equipment, and logistics. Enforce company standards for safety, cleanliness, and workmanship. Elevate critical schedule, safety, or quality issues to the Director of Operations and Project Manager, offering recommended solutions. Serve as the site-level point of contact for builders or client representatives, providing professional communication and timely updates. Oversee close-out tasks such as inspections, punch lists, and trade sign-offs. Field Documentation and Reporting Complete daily reports, site photos, and safety toolbox talks. Coordinate with Project Managers to maintain schedule and budget visibility. Participate in field reporting and photographic documentation. Learn and apply technology tools including Procore and Bluebeam. Team Support and Collaboration Support senior Superintendents and field leadership. Assist with troubleshooting field challenges in real time. Help coordinate field labor, subcontractors, and equipment resources. Promote a culture of collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement across teams. Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING 3+ years of construction site supervision (large-project experience preferred). Strong knowledge of paint and drywall trades. Multi-family experience highly preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or equivalent field experience. Proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam. OSHA certification and a safety-first mindset. Willingness to travel throughout the Carolinas a strong plus. Valid driver’s license and insurability under company policy. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE Demonstrate professionalism, accuracy, and courtesy with customers, vendors, and team members. Take initiative to anticipate needs and originate new solutions. Maintain steady workflow and meet deadlines under pressure. Build trusting, respectful relationships that reflect Stancil’s values of openness and accountability. Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling company information. Exhibit strong leadership, organization, and follow-through on every assignment. WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS The Superintendent 1 works primarily in active construction settings, both indoors and outdoors, with frequent walking, lifting, and site inspections. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., perform site walkthroughs, and navigate uneven surfaces. Regular interaction with field and office teams requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple requests, and commitment to safety in all conditions. Travel between job sites across the Carolinas may be required. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
