A Plant Manager is responsible for overall operations of the yard.</p>\n<p>Join a company that truly values its employees, prioritizes safety, and invests in your growth and success!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for building and maintaining positive relationships to coordinate home scrap with Sinton mill and campus customers. This includes items such as: transportation of scrap, processing of scrap, resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner, acting as a liaison between the mill / campus customers and Omni for communication and scrap processing needs (the intent is the mill would have a single contact for their scrap processing needs on the campus).</li>\n <li>Make operational decisions within the yard that are consistent with the yard’s annual, monthly, and daily plan.</li>\n <li>Ensure compliance in safety, environmental, and personnel issues that may arise.</li>\n <li>Facilitate, design, develop, evaluate, and track training for employee growth and development.</li>\n <li>Direct and manage yard operations for production, quality, shipping and receiving.</li>\n <li>Ensure operating expenses are consistent with the facility budgetary and fiscal performance goals. Develop and control budgets and operation plans.</li>\n <li>Generate and maintain reports as required.</li>\n <li>Manage yard inventory with good housekeeping.</li>\n <li>Evaluate, order new and/or replacement equipment as required.</li>\n <li>Control and manage labor overtime.</li>\n <li>Be visible in the yard.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Excellent organizational and time management skills.</li>\n <li>Individual must be highly motivated with excellent customer and relationship building skills.</li>\n <li>Exhibits effective leadership capabilities while promoting and sustaining a strong organizational culture.</li>\n <li>Leads with integrity while actively contributing to the development of a safe, sustainable, collaborative, and high-performance work environment.</li>\n <li>Detail orientated with demonstrated examples.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in fast paced environment.</li>\n <li>High school diploma.</li>\n <li>Minimum of three years supervisory experience.</li>\n <li>Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metals.</li>\n <li>Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of budgets and financial statements.</li>\n <li>Exceptional team building, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to lead, develop and motivate employees.</li>\n <li>Ability to make quick decisions in an ever changing work environment.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em><strong>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.</strong></em></p>\n<p> </p>",
