Performs maintenance, repair and modification of interior and exterior electrical wiring, exterior high voltage/low voltage electrical circuits/systems, and equipment associated with electrical components throughout the facilities assigned.  </p>\n<p>Wage: $36.21/hr, $5.09 of H&W</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs repair, overhaul, maintenance, and servicing of commercial and industrial electrical/electronic systems, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Testing, installation, repair, and maintenance of a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, ATS, UPS, transformers, switchboards, controllers, door operators, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, IR scans or other transmission equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs fire alarm system and/or call systems testing and maintenance </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and the workshop </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Assist maintenance teams </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Solely identify and resolve failures/alarms related to critical building equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Performs other duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Required Skills/Abilities: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have the skill and knowledge to use all hand and power tools, test equipment and shop machines, aerial booms, and shop machines utilized by the craft </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledgeable and skilled in maintaining and repairing exterior and interior electrical wiring and components </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>All appropriate safety practices for working with hand and power tools. </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, and shop drawings </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Communicate verbally and in writing </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to troubleshoot systems using electronics, computers, and software systems </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Use of computers for checking email, data entry on CMMS, and training </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Education and Experience: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must have a high school diploma or equivalency </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Five (5) years of experience shall be associated with commercial facilities  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>journeyman electricians license or hired required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possible exposure to hazardous materials, requiring use of respirators and personal protective safety attire and equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Lifting and carrying varies dependent on location of equipment up to 30-40ft height </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Ability to push 50 pounds (maintenance equipment); ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds (supplies and equipment) </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Possible exposure to hazardous materials, requiring use of respirators and personal protective safety attire and equipment </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>May require entering confined spaces such as ductwork, pits, and crawl spaces </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Attendance is required to be successful in this position </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Special Qualifications/Requirements: </strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to successfully pass as required a federal, state, or local government's background investigation </li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.</em> </p>\n<p><strong>We maintain a drug-free workplace and may perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.</strong> </p>\n<p><strong> Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities </strong></p>\n<p>The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
