Description
In this position...
As the Manager, Industry & Sales Planning - US , you will be at the center of Ford’s North American operations. You will serve as the primary architect for US industry segmentation and Ford/Lincoln market share objectives. This is a high-visibility role that bridges the gap between market demand and manufacturing supply, providing the critical nameplate demand inputs that drive our production requirements. You will influence how Ford navigates a complex competitive landscape to ensure we are delivering the right vehicles to the right markets at the right time.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Strategic Forecasting & Market Analysis
Industry Consensus Leadership: Lead the monthly U.S. industry consensus process, synthesizing cross-functional inputs from Corporate Economics, Finance, and MSS leadership to build a unified market view.
Segmentation Strategy: Manage the U.S. retail sales and segmentation forecast, collaborating closely with Consumer Marketing and Field Operations to anticipate market shifts.
Ad-Hoc Business Intelligence: Perform deep-dive analytical assessments of the business environment to provide actionable insights during periods of market volatility or shifting consumer trends.
Operational Execution & Systems Management
Demand Planning: Translate market share objectives into critical nameplate demand inputs, ensuring production supply requirements are aligned with consumer demand.
Systems Mastery: Maintain and optimize the U.S. industry, segmentation, and sales forecasts within SPCPS (Kinaxis Rapid Response), ensuring data integrity and planning agility.
Objective Setting: Publish and manage monthly U.S. dealer sales objectives, ensuring alignment between corporate goals and dealer network capacity.
Executive Collaboration & Leadership
Leadership Influence: Lead monthly sales and share reviews with MSS (Marketing, Sales & Service) leadership, presenting data-driven recommendations that shape North American strategy.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Build strong relationships and negotiate effectively across Finance, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to drive consensus in the S&OP process.
Continuous Improvement: Embody a "find a way" attitude, using incomplete data to develop strategic plans and fostering a culture of process discipline and innovation aligned with Ford+ behaviors.
Qualifications
You'll have...
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years of professional experience in automotive operations, supply chain, finance or large-scale logistics.
Even better, you may have...
Advanced Degree: MBA or equivalent Master’s degree.
Process Excellence: Proven experience with Lean Management or 6-Sigma methodologies to drive waste elimination.
You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice. You can choose what your Ford future will look like: will your story span the globe, or keep you close to home? Will your career be a deep dive into what you love, or a series of new teams and new skills? Will you be a leader, a changemaker, a technical expert, a culture builder…or all of the above? No matter what you choose, we offer a work life that works for you, including:

• Vehicle discount program for employees and family members and management leases
• Tuition assistance
• Established and active employee resource groups
