They provide compassionate services to a diverse population encompassing <u>all</u> faiths that are represented by patients, families, and team members, while at the same time, reflecting the mission and philosophy of Suncrest.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Certificate of graduation from an accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, MDiv or equivalent theological degree), or a degree in pastoral care, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred</li>\n <li>One year of chaplain experience preferred</li>\n <li>Experience working with death and the dying, as it relates to patients and their families/caregivers;</li>\n <li>Ability to work as a contributing member of interdisciplinary group</li>\n <li>Comfort level in inter-faith setting</li>\n <li>Minimum of 1 unit of CPE; and MDiv or Masters in Theology required.</li>\n <li>Assesses spiritual needs of patients and families/caregivers in the hospice program and ensures that appropriate services are rendered in a timely manner;</li>\n <li>Serves as liaison and support to community chaplains and spiritual counselors;</li>\n <li>Maintains accurate records of spiritual care services utilization and related activities for quality assurance, program development, and policies and procedures review and revision;</li>\n <li>Attends patient care conferences and interdisciplinary group meetings, providing consultation, education, and support</li>\n <li>Provides for funeral or memorial services for patients as requested;</li>\n <li>Assists with the supervision of spiritual care volunteers when assigned to patients/families/caregivers;</li>\n <li>Actively participates in quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities.</li>\n <li>Must be willing to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance</li>\n</ul>",
