If you want to feel honor and pride in the work that you do, while supporting a meaningful mission, come join our HopeWest Team!</em></strong></p><p>The Activities Assistant is responsible for:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities that promote socialization, cognitive stimulation, physical well-being, and overall quality of life for participants.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Works closely with the Activities Coordinator and program staff to ensure activities are person centered, safe, and enjoyable.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Creating an environment of warmth, caring, respect and acceptance for the participants.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Acts as member of interdisciplinary team as needed.</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Assists with day center meals and snacks</li></ul><p><strong>What is PACE?</strong></p><p>PACE or Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly is a federal and state funded program that provides comprehensive, coordinated, and proactive whole-person care to help maintain and improve seniors&#39; health so they can live safely in their homes. There are 180 PACE programs, serving more than 80,700 participants in 33 states.</p><p>The number of people aged 55+ is increasing in Grand Junction, CO and the demand for eldercare professionals is on the rise.</p><p><strong>You Bring:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li data-pasted=\"true\">Experience working with older adults is required.</li><li>2 years&rsquo; experience in planning and leading activities preferred.</li><li>Current SERV Safe Food Protection certification or obtained within first month of employment.</li><li>Experience working with clients who have some cognitive impairment preferred.</li><li>Valid Colorado driver&rsquo;s license, unlimited access to reliable transportation, and adequate automobile insurance maintained throughout employment. &nbsp;</li><li data-pasted=\"true\">Proficient in computer programs, particularly Microsoft office products.</li><li>Current CPR certification is maintained throughout employment.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to learn EMR charting systems.</li><li>Effectively and respectfully communicate both verbally and in writing in a multitude of situations and settings, including highly emotional interactions.</li><li>Effectively work with and build relationships with others.</li></ul><p><strong>We Offer:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Competitive pay structure starting at $19.89-$22.00 per hour, depending on experience.</li><li>UMR Health, Delta Dental, and VSP Vision insurance effective the month following start date.</li><li>Immediately start accruing PTO and medical leave.</li><li>Colorado Family and Medical Leave Insurance (FAMLI) program.</li><li>15% discount at Spoons Bistro &amp; Bakery, and Heirlooms locations.</li><li>Up to 3% match on 403B retirement.</li><li>Employer paid life insurance and Employee Assistance Program.</li><li>Tuition reimbursement program.</li></ul><p><strong>Together, through creativity, volunteerism, and philanthropy we change the experiences of aging, illness, and grief &ndash; one family at a time.</strong></p><p><em>HopeWest honors our service members and encourages veterans to apply.</em></p><p><em>This position will be open until filled.&nbsp;</em></p></div></div>\n",
