    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>Markon is seeking a Data Scientist Level 2 to analyze complex datasets and develop analytics that support mission and business decision-making for our Fort Meade Customer. This role applies statistical analysis, machine learning, and data engineering techniques to transform raw data into actionable insights, with a strong emphasis on Python-based analytics.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.</li>\n <li>Develop and implement analytics, statistical models, and machine learning techniques to support mission requirements.</li>\n <li>Perform data wrangling, cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to prepare data for analysis.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain databases and data pipelines supporting analytical workflows.</li>\n <li>Create data visualizations and dashboards to clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Write efficient, maintainable Python code for data analysis and modeling.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical requirements and translate them into technical solutions.</li>\n <li>Ensure data quality, integrity, and reproducibility of analytical results.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>Required Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph with this Customer. </li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience analyzing datasets and developing analytics.</li>\n <li>At least 5 years of programming experience using data analysis tools such as Python (required), R, SAS, or MATLAB.</li>\n <li>Strong foundation in statistical analysis.</li>\n <li>Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques.</li>\n <li>Demonstrated experience in data wrangling and data preparation.</li>\n <li>Experience with database management and data querying.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in data visualization techniques and tools.</li>\n <li>Strong written and oral communication skills.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Preferred Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience supporting Intelligence Community or government analytics.</li>\n <li>Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and analytics environments.</li>\n <li>Experience working with large-scale or high-velocity datasets.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Salary Range</h2>USD $210,000.00 - USD $225,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
