High Voltage Superintendent or High Voltage Foreperson, performs various tasks related to the layout and installation of various commercial and industrial electrical systems.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Duties and Responsibilities</span></p>\n<p><span>Essential:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Complies with and ensures compliance with all Tri-M safety policies and procedures. </span></li>\n<li><span>Complies with and ensure compliance with all Tri-M employment policies and procedures including standards of conduct and appearance to reflect positively on the Company.</span></li>\n<li><span>Reads and interprets construction drawings (i.e., electrical, mechanical, architectural, etc.).</span></li>\n<li><span>Performs layout of assigned tasks.</span></li>\n<li><span>Terminate 5 KV cable and up with cold shrink kits (Perform hand splice with supervision).</span></li>\n<li><span>Installs various outdoor lighting systems.</span></li>\n<li><span>Installs underground duct bank systems.</span></li>\n<li><span>Installs outdoor transformers and capacitors with supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span>Installs medium voltage cable and terminates it properly.</span></li>\n<li><span>Troubleshoots electrical problems utilizing appropriate test equipment with supervision.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assures compliance with National Electrical Code and High Voltage Electrical Safety</span></li>\n<li><span>Conducts appropriate job training of apprentices.</span></li>\n<li><span>Safeguards and maintains tri‑M equipment, tools and vehicles.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assures that quality and productivity meet Company and customer standards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Keeps up to date of new techniques and developments in the electrical construction trade.</span></li>\n<li><span>Recommends improved methods of operation.</span></li>\n<li><span>Assures that good housekeeping practices are maintained at the job site.</span></li>\n<li><span>Attends hot line schools and rigging schools.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Requirements</span></p>\n<p><span>Skills/Education:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>High school diploma.</span></li>\n<li><span>Completion of a state‑approved apprenticeship program or equivalent.</span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum of four years’ experience in the electrical trade.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to operate bucket truck, line truck, large trencher, 580 backhoe.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to identify and operate meters used in the electrical construction industry (recording volt and amp meters, meggers).</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to size, install and connect single‑ and three‑phase transformers utilizing standard connections.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to calculate (voltage drop, mixed conductor conduit fill, conductor derating).</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to terminate 3-m cold shrinks and molded splice for medium voltage cable with the supervision of line foreperson or the superintendent.</span></li>\n<li><span>Have current lineperson /cableperson handbook.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to properly lay out and administer small jobs (normally one to three men).</span></li>\n<li><span>Understanding basic troubleshooting techniques.</span></li>\n<li><span>Good working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and the National Electric Safety Code (NESC), and the high voltage electrical safety book.</span></li>\n<li><span>Good character, neat appearance.</span></li>\n<li><span>Good mechanical aptitude.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to climb height of 70 ‘on poles or scaffolds.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain a valid commercial driver’s license-Class A (CDL) or in the process of obtaining and a history of safe driving.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the assigned work location/office.</span></li>\n<li><span>Must purchase Company required personal tools and maintain in good condition.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability and willingness to travel nationally to jobsites.</span></li>\n<li><span>Confident, decisive, safety orientated and self-motivated.</span></li>\n<li><span>Proficient with use of laptop and tablet. </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Requirements:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Working 40 hours/week, scheduled in 8 to 10-hour shifts.</span></li>\n<li><span>Standing and climbing 4 to 6 hours/day.</span></li>\n<li><span>Kneeling, lifting, reaching above shoulders, and bending (90º) 4 to 5 hours/day.</span></li>\n<li><span>Twisting (180º) and walking 2 to 3 hours/day.</span></li>\n<li><span>Squatting and sitting 1 to 2 hours/day.</span></li>\n<li><span>Lifting weights of 0 to 100 lbs. at the following frequencies:  continuous lifting of 10 to 35 lbs.; frequent lifting of 35 to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting of 50 to 100 lbs.; sizes &amp; shapes of objects vary from concrete blocks to cylinders to 20' lengths of conduit; average carry requirements, 60 lbs. for 40'.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to lift from floor to above shoulder.</span></li>\n<li><span>Repetitive use of hands includes: continuous grasping up to 50 lbs.; frequent pushing and pulling of 50 to 75 lbs.; and fine motor coordination for receptacle installation and wire terminations.</span></li>\n<li><span>Repetitive use of feet is required for operating heavy equipment, conduit benders, and vertical climbing.</span></li>\n<li><span>Vision adequate for blueprint reading and color-coding for wire identification.</span></li>\n<li><span>Balance adequate for continuous climbing of ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, wooden poles, metal light poles.</span></li>\n<li><span>Environmental factors include working in:  temperature extremes of 0º F to 100º F; up to 8 hours inside or outside; atmospheric exposure to dust, gases, fumes, odors; and poor ventilation in confined spaces.</span></li>\n<li><span>Special hazards include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Personal protective equipment includes use of hard hat, safety glasses, protected-toe boots, and appropriate gloves for the task.  Equipment on an \"as needed\" basis may include fall protection, dust mask, respirator,
