          "text": "<p><u><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></u></p><p><strong>Enterprise EHS &amp; Process Safety Governance</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the corporate authority for Environmental, Health, Safety, and Process Safety Management.</li><li>Establish enterprise‑wide governance, standards, and escalation pathways for high‑hazard and process safety risks.</li><li>Chair or sponsor enterprise EHS and Process Safety steering committees.</li><li>Provide regular briefings to executive leadership on EHS and process safety risk exposure, performance trends, and emerging risks.</li><li>Exercise authority to stop work or shut down processes for unsafe, non‑compliant, or high‑risk conditions.</li></ul><p><strong>EHS &amp; Process Safety Management Systems (ISO &amp; PSM)</strong></p><ul><li>Own the design, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise management systems aligned with:<ul><li>ISO 14001 – Environmental Management Systems</li><li>ISO 45001 – Occupational Health &amp; Safety Management Systems</li><li>OSHA Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119), where applicable</li></ul></li><li>Establish standardized enterprise processes for:<ul><li>Hazard identification and risk assessment (HIRA/JHA)</li><li>Process hazard analysis (PHA), including HAZOP, What‑If, and FMEA methodologies</li><li>Management of Change (MOC)</li><li>Operating procedures and safe work practices</li><li>Incident investigation, root cause analysis, and learning systems</li></ul></li><li>Ensure certification readiness, internal audit rigor, and consistent site execution within enterprise frameworks.</li></ul><p><strong>Process Safety Leadership (PSM &amp; HAZOP)</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strategic oversight of Process Safety Management programs for chemical and high‑risk operations.</li><li>Ensure effective governance of critical PSM elements, including:<ul><li>Process hazard analysis (PHA) and HAZOP facilitation or oversight</li><li>Mechanical integrity and asset reliability</li><li>Process safety training and competency</li><li>Emergency planning and response for major hazard scenarios</li></ul></li><li>Influence early‑stage capital project design, equipment selection, and process changes to eliminate or reduce process safety risk.</li><li>Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure PSM requirements are integrated into:<ul><li>New processes, tools, and automation</li><li>Advanced chemical delivery systems</li><li>Highly automated and complex manufacturing equipment</li></ul></li></ul><p><strong>Environmental Risk Management &amp; Sustainability</strong></p><ul><li>Lead enterprise environmental programs, including:<ul><li>Chemical lifecycle management (storage, use, disposal)</li><li>Hazardous and universal waste management</li><li>Air permitting and emissions control (VOCs, acids, solvents)</li><li>Wastewater compliance, pretreatment, and water stewardship</li><li>Emergency response, spill prevention (SPCC), and contingency planning</li></ul></li><li>Establish environmental performance metrics and support ESG reporting, customer audits, and sustainability initiatives.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement in energy efficiency, emissions reduction, and environmental risk mitigation.</li></ul><p><strong>Health &amp; Safety Leadership – High Hazard &amp; Technical Environments</strong></p><ul><li>Provide strategic oversight for safety programs in complex manufacturing environments, including:<ul><li>Industrial hygiene and exposure monitoring</li><li>Chemical hazard communication (GHS)</li><li>Contractor safety governance</li><li>Cleanroom safety, ergonomic risk, and precision work hazards</li><li>Specialized PPE and engineered controls</li></ul></li><li>Demonstrate leadership credibility in highly technical and automated operations, even when not the direct subject matter expert.</li></ul><p><strong>Capital Planning, M&amp;A, and Business Enablement</strong></p><ul><li>Influence capital planning, facility design, and process engineering to ensure EHS and process safety hazards are addressed upstream.</li><li>Support mergers, acquisitions, site expansions, and greenfield projects through:<ul><li>EHS and process safety due diligence</li><li>Integration planning</li><li>Startup and operational readiness reviews</li></ul></li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership during strategic growth decisions.</li></ul><p><strong>Metrics, Auditing &amp; Performance Management</strong></p><ul><li>Establish and manage enterprise KPIs, including:<ul><li>TRIR, DART, and severity rates</li><li>Near‑miss and process safety event reporting</li><li>Environmental incidents and permit deviations</li><li>PHA/HAZOP completion and action closure rates</li><li>Audit findings and corrective action effectiveness</li></ul></li><li>Lead enterprise EHS and PSM audits and ensure timely, effective closure of findings.</li><li>Use data and trend analysis to drive proactive risk reduction and continuous improvement.</li></ul>",
