The purpose of the Mental Health Practitioner is to teach and support symptom management skills as defined by the Minnesota comprehensive Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) consistent with the goals and philosophy of Northern Pines Mental Health Center to assigned adults who have functional impairment due to a mental health condition.</span></span></p>\n\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n\n<p><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\"><strong>Essential Functions</strong>&nbsp;include:</span></span></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">The usual duties performed include both direct and collaborative services which are rehabilitative and enable clients to develop and enhance:</span></span>\n\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Psychiatric stability,</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Social competencies</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Personal and emotional adjustment</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Independent and community living</span></span></li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">These services are provided through:</span></span>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Basic social and living skills (individually or in small groups)</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Community intervention</span></span></li>\n\t\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">Medication education (referred to designated provider)</span></span></li>\n\t</ul>\n\t</li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">This position will work collaboratively with other staff to initiate contact with providers mutual to specific clients as appropriate and necessary.</span></span></li>\n\t<li><span style=\"font-size:12px\"><span style=\"font-family:Verdana,Geneva,sans-serif\">&nbsp;The duties of this position include documentation and obtaining information consistent with ACBS policy.
