This role performs routine and targeted inspections of work in place, verifies conformance to plans and specifications, documents deficiencies, and supports corrective actions. The QA/QC Inspector works closely with project management, field supervision, subcontractors, and third‑party inspectors to uphold quality expectations and minimize rework—particularly on technically complex and mission‑critical projects.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</span><br>The QA/QC Inspector will be primarily involved with performing the following duties and responsibilities:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform daily and scheduled quality inspections of work in place across all construction phases.</li>\n<li>Verify materials, installations, and workmanship comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and standards.</li>\n<li>Inspect mechanical, electrical, plumbing, architectural, and structural scopes as applicable to the project.</li>\n<li>Document inspection results, deficiencies, and observations using company QA/QC systems and reports.</li>\n<li>Track non‑conforming work and verify corrective actions through closure.</li>\n<li>Coordinate inspections and testing with subcontractors, consultants, and third‑party inspection agencies.</li>\n<li>Review approved submittals and inspection test plans (ITPs) to confirm installation requirements.</li>\n<li>Participate in pre‑installation meetings and quality planning sessions.</li>\n<li>Support commissioning, punch list, and closeout inspections.</li>\n<li>Maintain accurate and organized quality documentation in accordance with company requirements.</li>\n<li>Communicate quality concerns promptly to field supervision and project management.</li>\n<li>Promote adherence to quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Education, Experience, and Certifications:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or coursework preferred.</li>\n<li>Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in construction inspection, quality control, or field supervision.</li>\n<li>Experience on commercial, institutional, healthcare, infrastructure, or mission‑critical projects preferred.</li>\n<li>Working knowledge of construction codes, inspection requirements, and testing procedures.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><em>Alston Construction is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</em></p>",
