Click Here to See All Ryder Careers: https://jobs.ryder.com/jobs/</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We want YOU to join our family made up of Proud Women and Men in Supply Chain who work alongside the many Military Reserve and Veterans we hire everyday</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran</p>\n<h2>Requirements</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li>\n <li><p>0 to 1 year in carpentry or construction background preferred</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to comprehend basic math</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to follow repair process</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis</p></li>\n <li><p>Must be able to use proper techniques to lift a minimum of 75 lbs</p></li>\n <li><p>Capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day)</p></li>\n <li><p>Able to use hands and feet simultaneously and perform repetitive movements</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Important Note: </strong>Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Safely and securely repair pallets at a rate that meets company standards and in a manner that meets company safety standards</p></li>\n <li><p>Operate a pry bar to detach damaged boards from the pallets</p></li>\n <li><p>Operate a hammer, grinder and a saw to remove existing nails and use a 25 lb nail gun to nail together the components</p></li>\n <li><p>Manually lift 70 lb pallets from a stack to a repair table</p></li>\n <li><p>Pallet must meet and pass CHEP's quality control audit</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area</p></li>\n <li><p>Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety</p></li>\n <li><p>Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards</p></li>\n <li><p>Must wear all safety equipment while repairing pallets</p></li>\n <li>Performs other duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em> </em><em>Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and Drug Free workplace.
