The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture and proactively identifying opportunities to enhance workplace health and safety performance.</p><p><br></p><p><u><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li>Lead site safety programs and initiatives to promote a proactive safety culture and reduce workplace incidents</li><li>Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and training programs</li><li>Conduct safety audits and hazard assessments within a manufacturing environment</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable regulatory requirements</li><li>Lead incident and near-miss investigations and oversee corrective action implementation</li><li>Track safety performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives</li><li>Partner with operations leadership and HR on workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes</li><li>Maintain required safety documentation and reporting</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and leadership to drive safety improvements and organizational change</li><li>Employs EHS technical theories to solve practical problems.</li><li>Executes multiple, well defined EHS projects/assignments efficiently and documents the results expeditiously.</li><li>Becomes familiar with site processes, equipment, and EHS programs and works cross-functionally to complete EHS project work.</li><li>Support and maintain environmental and safety programs.</li><li>Oversees third party vendors while on site.</li><li>Applies established EHS standards and methods to identify, evaluate and control safety, health and environmental hazards present in the work operations and environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Evaluates operations to determine compliance with Kashiv BioSciences and governmental EHS standards and regulations.</li><li>Performs research and provides information on EHS matters.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with developing and delivering EHS training and communications to persons internal to Kashiv BioSciences.&nbsp;</li><li>Assists with EHS program tasks and activities, including industrial hygiene, biosafety, ergonomics, process safety, environmental compliance, EHS &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;inspections, fire protection, loss control, hazardous waste management and assistance with EHS committees.</li><li>Identifying latest innovations in EHS risk assessment and reduction, engineering &nbsp;&nbsp;design, operations, and pollution prevention or compliance strategies and making others aware of their potential application to assigned projects.
