You’ll gain exposure to specialized lines of business including Directors &amp; Officers Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Errors &amp; Omissions, Cyber, and related coverages.</p><p><strong>What can you expect in this role</strong></p><ul><li>Assist Account Executives with new business and renewal activities by gathering and organizing account information for underwriting review and quoting</li><li>Support the preparation of reports and documentation required to assess and process policies</li><li>Help process transactions within internal systems, including new business submissions, renewals, policy changes, and cancellations, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Maintain accurate underwriting documentation and update account information in internal systems in accordance with established standards</li><li>Monitor team inboxes and workflow queues, assisting with task tracking and follow-ups</li><li>Support timely servicing of accounts to meet internal and external service expectations</li><li>Communicate with internal teams and assist with responding to basic broker or customer inquiries, escalating as needed</li><li>Assist with quoting activities within established guidelines and supported supervision</li><li>Provide administrative support, including data entry and file maintenance</li><li>Participate in team projects and assignments as required</li><li>Actively learn about underwriting processes and Financial Lines products through training and on-the-job experience<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What you bring</strong></p><ul><li>Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Business, Finance, Commerce, or related field preferred)</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>High attention to detail and strong organizational skills</li><li>Effective communication skills and willingness to collaborate with a team</li><li>Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge of the insurance industry</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with data systems is an asset (e.g., Guidewire PolicyCenter)<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Did you know?</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>We care about our co-ops: Definity’s co-op students are considered the best pipeline of talent for our full-time, permanent positions.&nbsp;</li><li>We care about students: Definity distributes $85,000 in scholarships to students across Canada each year.&nbsp;</li><li>We care about our community: Definity donates more than $1 million every year to causes that drive true change in the neighborhoods in which we live and work.&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What can Definity offer you?</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Meaningful work forwarding our purpose of building a better world by helping our clients and communities adapt and thrive in their hardest times of need.</li><li>Culture of accountability, empowerment, and collaboration.</li><li>Opportunities to support personal and professional growth through real-life experience and unique learning opportunities.
