With competitive pay and benefits, <strong>National Beef could be your next career move!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Competitive Wages and Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Family-friendly benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, and Prescription</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Company paid disability and life insurance</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Paid vacation</strong></li>\n <li><strong>401 (k) with Company match</strong></li>\n <li><strong>Employee meat purchase program</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Laboratory Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Responsible for all aspects of daily operations of the NBP laboratories</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide administrative direction and coordination in the formulation, interpretation and administration of laboratory duties for NBP</p></li>\n <li><p>Provides leadership in the area of laboratory testing methodologies and provides direction to laboratory management (inside and outside labs) to help facilitate R & D of methods</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide support as needed in new technologies and interventions in the food safety arena</p></li>\n <li><p>Provides direction and oversight into the total NBP microbiological testing plan</p></li>\n <li><p>Provide direction, oversight and communication to NBP management regarding all microbial data generated from internal to external labs</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain strong liaison with all levels of NBP management to facilitate the resolution of problems</p></li>\n <li><p>Determine FSC fiscal requirements, prepare budgets, monitor, verify and reconcile expenditure of budgeted funds</p></li>\n <li><p>Maintain appropriate staffing and ensure the quality of personnel in lab</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure all company policies are followed and exercise discipline to lab personnel as required</p></li>\n <li><p>Ensure implementation and compliance with the laboratory quality system</p></li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This is a safety sensitive position.  This is an on-site position.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Qualified candidates for the Laboratory Manager position should possess the following:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a microbiological or related field</li>\n <li><p>Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a microbiological or related field</p></li>\n <li><p>Advanced Computer literacy skills to include windows programs; specifically excel and access</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent oral and written communication skills- demonstrated with all levels of management, vendors, technicians, and auditors </p></li>\n <li><p>Solid reasoning and problem solving skills</p></li>\n <li><p>Ability to multi-task with a solid attention to detail</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong work ethic and Interpersonal skills</p></li>\n <li><p>High energy level with a strong sense of urgency</p></li>\n <li><p>Excellent writing skills to include reviewing documents, reports, and developing SOP’s (standard operating procedures)</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Must be at least 18 years of age or older.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.</p>\n<h2>Company Overview</h2>\n<p>National Beef is a leader in producing fresh, chilled and further processed beef products for customers in the U.S. and worldwide.
