Join Choctaw Premier Services (CPS) as a Transition Counselor and help guide Soldiers through one of the most important transitions of their lives. In this role, you will provide invaluable career counseling, facilitate workshops, and support military personnel as they prepare for life after service. Support:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Provide one-on-one career counseling, helping Soldiers develop individualized transition goals and strategies.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Assist Service Members and their families in creating and refining their Individual Transition Plans (ITPs) and r&eacute;sum&eacute;s for both federal and private sector opportunities.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong><u>Workshops &amp; Briefings:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Coordinate and facilitate DOL Employment Workshops, VA Benefits Briefings, and additional transition-related sessions.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Deliver comprehensive Transition Briefings to inform Soldiers of the available services and eligibility requirements for transition benefits.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong><u>Pre-Separation Counseling &amp; Outreach:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Conduct pre-separation counseling sessions for Soldiers to ensure they are aware of all required services and resources.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Lead regional outreach activities to promote available transition services and provide additional support for Soldiers in need.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong><u>Program Improvement:</u></strong></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Collect and analyze participant feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Ensure compliance with the Program Work Statement (PWS) and the instructions of the Contract Installation Manager (CIM).</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong><u>WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Education:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Master&rsquo;s degree preferred in Training and Development, HR Management, Counseling, or a related field.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree accepted with additional experience in career counseling, education, or a related field.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>Experience:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Minimum two (2) years of career counseling, education, or related experience.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Two (2) years of experience with the Military lifestyle, either through personal or professional experience with Military personnel and their families, is highly desired.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">In-depth understanding of Military culture and Command structure is crucial.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">If non-military, at least four (4) years of counseling experience is required.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Demonstrated experience in program evaluations and utilizing customer feedback to improve program effectiveness and impact; highly desired.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Ability to work independently while implementing personal experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with a degree of creativity and latitude.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Strong verbal and written communication skills, particularly in needs assessment and individual/small group training.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of career counseling and transition services.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Curriculum development experience is a plus.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong><u>WORK CONDITIONS:</u></strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>Work Environment:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Fast-paced, on-site work environment focused on meeting performance goals for transitioning military personnel.</li><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Role involves interacting with service members and employers, requiring a high level of engagement and adaptability.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\"><strong>Schedule:</strong></span></p><ul><li style=\"font-family: georgia, serif;\">Full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours based on project requirements.</li></ul><p><span style=\"font-family: georgia,serif;\">&nbsp;
