We are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees. Whether you’re experienced or looking to start your security career, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of Toronto’s top summer events.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>Maintain a Visible Presence:</strong> Act as a deterrent by maintaining a strong, professional security presence throughout the event grounds.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Enforce Regulations:</strong> Uphold event rules, enforce the <strong>Liquor Licence Act</strong> and <strong>Toronto Smoking By-Laws</strong>, and ensure compliance with <strong>AGCO</strong> (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) standards.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Monitor for Threats:</strong> Stay alert to detect and report suspicious behaviour or security concerns.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Crowd Control:</strong> Assist in managing guest flow, prevent overcrowding, and help guide attendees safely throughout the venue.</p></li>\n <li><p><strong>Respond to Emergencies:</strong> Provide support during emergency situations, including evacuations, first response, or directing patrons to safety.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent</p></li>\n <li><p>Legally eligible to work in Canada</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid <strong>Ontario Security Guard License</strong> (Required)</p></li>\n <li><p>Valid <strong>Smart Serve Certificate</strong> (Required)</p></li>\n <li><p>Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with guests and team members</p></li>\n <li><p>Previous experience in event security or nightlife/bar venues is an asset but not required</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><p>Must be comfortable standing for long periods</p></li>\n <li><p>Role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Disclaimer:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>As part of our standard hiring process, all candidates being considered for employment with Allied Universal are required to undergo a background check.
