Description
The Senior Chemical Plant Operations Supervisor oversees daily plant operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production of chemical products. This role leads shift supervisors and operators, drives operational excellence, and ensures adherence to environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards while meeting production and quality targets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and coordinate daily chemical plant operations, ensuring safe and reliable production
Supervise and develop operations teams, including lead and chemical operators
Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company EHS standards
Monitor and optimize plant performance (throughput, yield, downtime, quality)
Ensure adherence to process safety management (PSM) programs and procedures
Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation for process or equipment issues
Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to optimize operations and resolve issues
Manage staffing, shift schedules, and workforce planning to meet production demand
Support budget management, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process operations 3+ years of leadership/supervisory experience in a plant environment Strong knowledge of chemical processing systems, unit operations, and plant safety practices Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and regulatory compliance

Experience managing multi-unit or continuous process operations Lean Six Sigma certification or continuous improvement experience Knowledge of distributed control systems (DCS) and plant automation SCHEDULE
Typically includes shift work, weekends, and overtime as needed

The annual base salary for this position is $107356-$133939k . Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
