At TA Instruments the Inventory Control Specialist position is essential to our Distribution Team in order to ensure our world class customer service.\n<h2>Typical tasks of the position include, but are not limited to</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Perform cycle counts and location checks then reconciliing discrepancies of materials as required to meet audit requirements.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with purchasing and planning departments on problem solving receipt and production discrepancies.</li>\n <li>Perform transactions in SAP to manage material movements and control inventory accuracy.</li>\n <li>Manage slow moving materials to optimize location usage.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with manufacturing to maintain kanban levels and fulfill rush needs to avoid production shutdown.</li>\n <li>Proper labeling and handling of inventory to reduce damage and maintain accuracy.</li>\n <li>Collaborate with shipping coordinator acting as a backup. In this role you will be working with carriers, creating documents required for customs clearance and transacting shipments in SAP</li>\n <li>Ability to use UPS, Fed Ex, Freight Forwarder and LTL carriers software to ship both domestic and export shipment</li>\n <li>Understands incoterms and processes the documentation needed for export shipments.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>The successful candidate will have a combination of knowledge, skills, and experience that would include the following</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge normally acquired through completion of a one (1) year certificate from college or technical school in general business, inventory control or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n <li>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals in order to perform required tasks</li>\n <li>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos </li>\n <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to key in data using computerized inventory management system (SAP)</li>\n <li>Ability to organize and prioritize work activities to handle multiple assignments, problem solving</li>\n <li>In performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. </li>\n <li>Strong customer service skills to effectively work with customers, carriers and co-workers</li>\n <li>Ability to operate a forklift /reach truck and pallet jacks safely.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Company Description</h2>\n<p>Waters Corporation (NYSE:WAT)  is a global leader in life sciences and diagnostics, dedicated to accelerating the benefits of pioneering science through analytical technologies, informatics, and service.
