This role also involves installing new equipment, repairing leaks, adjusting wiring controls, and replacing defective or outdated parts to ensure the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Role</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Perform repairs and maintenance on various kitchen and refrigeration equipment such as walk-in freezers, ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, ice machines, and steam cookers.</li>\n<li>Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing of equipment to prevent breakdowns and maintain optimal performance.</li>\n<li>Log into the work order management system to receive, accept, and complete assigned maintenance tasks.</li>\n<li>Install new kitchen equipment, repair leaks, and ensure proper settings of wiring controls.</li>\n<li>Replace old or defective parts in kitchen equipment as necessary.</li>\n<li>Work closely with other maintenance staff, management, and kitchen teams to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.</li>\n<li>Respond quickly to emergency repair requests, including after-hours calls when necessary.</li>\n<li><span>Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Job Requirements</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a commercial kitchen environment.</li>\n<li>Excellent soldering and brazing skills, particularly with oxygen/propane.</li>\n<li>Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and follow equipment operation and installation manuals.</li>\n<li>Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair kitchen equipment issues effectively.</li>\n<li>Solid knowledge of electrical theory, practices, and safety standards.</li>\n<li>In-depth understanding of commercial refrigeration principles and practices.</li>\n<li>Possession of a refrigerant transition and recovery certification is required.</li>\n<li>Knowledge of plumbing repair, installation practices, and procedures is an asset.</li>\n<li>Proficiency in basic computer skills, including the ability to log work orders and access task management systems.</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take responsibility for the repair and maintenance of assigned equipment.</li>\n<li>A valid driving licence is required.</li>\n<li><span>Strong communication skills, with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.</span></li>\n<li><span>Applicant should be residing in Malta.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>To Apply:</span></span></p>\n<p><span>Be part of Malta’s most respected hospitality brand and contribute to an environment where quality and teamwork come first. Click the <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">\"Apply for this Job\"</span> button and submit your CV. <br><br>We look forward to hearing from you!</span></p>",
