    "description": "<p>Financial Planning &amp; Analysis (FP&amp;A) Manager will work with the Group Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President of Finance and VP of Accounting to drive financial strategic planning and analysis across Astroscale Group globally. The position is an integral part of the Office of the CFO (OCFO) of Astroscale Holdings Inc., the ultimate parent company of Astroscale Group. Candidates should be prepared to work in a high-stress global environment given FP&amp;A is a critical element of a capital-intensive business such as Astroscale Group. At the same time, this position will be able to significantly influence global operations of Astroscale Group, working closely with global and regional management teams in addition to the entity finance teams.<br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead variance analyses on non-GAAP actual financials such as project profitability, consolidated/entity KPIs,etc.</li>\n<li>Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes including creating reporting packages.</li>\n<li>Support group-wide budgeting processes.</li>\n<li>Support financial analyses required to support group-wide efforts on cash generation initiatives.</li>\n<li>Support financial modelling workstreams to support needs of the business.</li>\n<li>Support strategic projects as required.</li>\n<li>Work with the Director of FP&amp;A Infrastructure to maximize utility of the ERP platform.</li>\n<li>Interface with other entities, departments and business units to obtain information required for analyses andprocess improvements.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with other OCFO VPs and Directors to support overall department goals and objectives.</li>\n<li>Monitor and analyse department workstreams to develop more efficient procedures and use of resourceswhile maintaining a high level of accuracy.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>5+ years of relevant FP&amp;A experience.</li>\n<li>Excellent financial modelling skills in Microsoft Excel.</li>\n<li>Strategic mindset and intellectual curiosity.</li>\n<li>Solid understanding of accounting in IFRS and J-GAAP.</li>\n<li>Effective global communication skills including strong business-level written and verbal communicationcapabilities in English and Japanese.</li>\n<li>Exceptional organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic, team-oriented environment.</li>\n<li>Ability to work in a collaborative environment.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>CPA qualifications.</li>\n<li>Experience working for a global organization.</li>\n<li>Experience working for the head office of a global organization.<br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Details</span><br></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Entity: Astroscale Holdings Inc.</li>\n<li>Location: Sumida-ku, Tokyo</li>\n<li>Department: Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO)</li>\n<li>Reports to: Chief Financial Officer</li>\n<li>Direct Reports: None</li>\n<li>Team size: 1 full-time employee</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Astroscale</span></p>\n<p>Astroscale is the first private company with a vision to secure the safe and sustainable development of space for the benefit of future generations, and the only company solely dedicated to on-orbit servicing across all orbits.
