This role partners with subject matter experts to assess training needs, define clear learning objectives, and create impactful course content using a variety of instructional methods, including multimedia, simulations, and instructor-led training. The specialist develops comprehensive design documents, supporting materials, and assessment tools to measure learning effectiveness, while facilitating new hire and ongoing training programs to ensure associates can quickly and effectively contribute. Additionally, the role continuously evaluates and enhances training programs, provides guidance to leadership on instructional best practices, and recommends improvements to drive performance and organizational effectiveness.\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Design, develop, and deliver training curricula using a variety of instructional methods and media.</li>\n <li>Partner with subject matter experts to assess training needs and define clear learning objectives.</li>\n <li>Develop engaging learning activities, exercises, and supporting materials (e.g., audio, video, simulations, role plays).</li>\n <li>Create design documents, content outlines, and instructional materials aligned to learning goals.</li>\n <li>Establish evaluation criteria and develop assessment tools to measure learner performance and training effectiveness.</li>\n <li>Facilitate new hire and ongoing training programs, with a focus on customer service, product knowledge, and system navigation.</li>\n <li>Monitor learner progress and provide recommendations to management on training effectiveness and enhancement opportunities.</li>\n <li>Deliver refresher and advanced training to reinforce and expand associate capabilities.</li>\n <li>Advise leaders on instructional design best practices and training strategies.</li>\n <li>Review and continuously improve existing training programs and processes to ensure effectiveness and relevance.</li>\n <li>Coordinate training schedules and logistics for course delivery.</li>\n <li>Evaluate and provide input on external training programs, tools, and systems under consideration.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Basic Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Systems Design (ISD), Educational Technology, Business, or a related field.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in training, instructional design, or process development.</li>\n <li>Strong knowledge of <strong>learning theories and instructional design models.</strong></li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>lesson planning and curriculum development.</strong></li>\n <li>Proficiency with <strong>course development tools</strong> and at least one <strong>Learning Management System (LMS).</strong></li>\n <li>Ability to create <strong>instructional content</strong>, including written materials, audio scripts, and video scripts.</li>\n <li>Experience with <strong>storyboarding and visual design concepts.</strong></li>\n <li>Intermediate proficiency in <strong>Microsoft Office tools</strong> (Excel, PowerPoint, or similar project tracking tools).</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience with <strong>visual design tools</strong> (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver)</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of <strong>HTML or other basic web technologies</strong></li>\n <li>Familiarity with <strong>multimedia or legacy tools</strong> (e.g., Flash)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of <strong>life insurance products and industry operations</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
