    "description_html": "<p><strong>Civilian RN -  Burn Step Down Unit - Brooke Army Medical Center- Training provided for Med/Surg Nurses (</strong><b>US Army Institute of Surgical Research Burn Center)</b></p><p>Join our GiaMed team of nurses at the prestigious Burn department, with an opportunity to train and learn a new set of skills!</p><p>BAMC, located on Fort Sam Houston, is a state-of-the-art 425-bed Academic Medical Center. It serves as the Department of Defense's largest facility and only Level 1 Trauma Center. Here you can reach your full potential in a supportive environment where our team is proud to provide compassionate, patient-centered care to our military families each day. GiaMed is proud to provide civilian staffing services to the hospital, where we can come along side the active duty and GS nurses to ensure the best possible care for the patients. </p><p>As a GiaMed JV employee, our civilian nurses can expect:</p><ul><li>A structured environment</li><li>Low patient ratios</li><li>A team that consists of LVNs and Techs to work with</li><li>No On-Call</li><li>Competitive pay and generous benefits</li><li>Slow Rotation schedule-3 months days/ 3 months nights</li><li>Extensive training provided</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>As a GiaMed employee, your duties and responsibilities will be the same as any other registered nurse on the same unit. Duties can include but are not limited to the following: team lead, precept, orientate, rapid response, and other tasks as needed. </p><p>Manage patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasopressor drugs, and a wide range of procedures of an advanced nature and difficulty where there is a high risk for infection and bodily functions are mechanically assisted by life support equipment. Assist with invasive procedures and management, such as Swan/Ganz insertion, balloon pump management, temporary pacemaker insertion, and Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy, and perform nursing care for emergency and trauma patients to include pediatric thru adulthood. Able to triage safely, rapidly, and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system.</p><p><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br>-Must be U.S. Citizen</p><p>-Valid Registered Nursing license from any U.S. jurisdiction</p><p>-BLS and ACLS Certification Current</p><p>- Must have at least 2 years of full-time experience working as an RN in a Med Surg Unit, or 1 year full time in a burn unit within the past 4 years. </p><p>Apply today and start on the path towards the exciting and fulfilling career you always hoped for!</p><p></p><p></p>",
