The Armed Security Operative will conduct armed discrete patrol (interior and/or exterior).  Additional duties include controlling access and egress; monitoring CCTV and alarm systems; composing reports; deterring criminal activity and misconduct.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities</li>\n <li>Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem solving manner</li>\n <li>Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.</li>\n <li>Intercede, escort, or assist in escorting, persons as needed</li>\n <li>Observe and report inappropriate or suspicious behavior and/or materials/objects to the client</li>\n <li>Communicate and/or document any irregular security-related or safety-related incidents</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED), or 5 years of verifiable experience</li>\n <li>Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles</li>\n <li>Prior civilian or military law enforcement experience</li>\n <li>Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.*A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain NYS Armed Guard License</li>\n <li>Must be able to obtain Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)</li>\n <li>Must possess a NY Concealed Carry Permit</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies</li>\n <li>A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch</li>\n <li>Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Perks and Benefits:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Medical, dental, vision, basic life, AD&D, and disability insurance</li>\n <li>401(k) plan</li>\n <li>Paid time off offered at an accrual rate of 1 hour per 25 hours worked on a weekly basis</li>\n <li>Eight paid holidays (subject to eligibility)</li>\n <li>Employee Assistance Program</li>\n <li>Employee discounts through our perks program to your favorite restaurants, entertainment venues, and much more!</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>$42.17 hourly</strong></p>\n<h2>Closing</h2>\n<p>Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
