Customer Service Engineer - PHOENIX/TUCSON
The base pay range for this position is: $67,550 - $92,884
Performs technical, mainly pre-defined tasks for accomplishing defined service delivery work for customer equipment. Required residence within 45 miles of Phoenix, AZ or Tucson. Performing service, preventative maintenance, and modifications on ultrasound medical equipment at customer sites to ensure customer equipment operates at a high standard. Ownership of customer relationships with the goal of upholding a high level of satisfaction while troubleshooting and resolving both hardware and software issues with ultrasound equipment, either remotely or at a customer site. Serving as the company’s primary customer facing technical representative for ultrasound while working in collaboration with biomedical engineers and other senior staff members in a hospital or clinical environment. Building and sustaining strong partnerships with your customers through the effective use of both technical expertise and interpersonal skills. Establish and maintain proper business relationships with clinical / sales partners and peers. Performing necessary administrative duties accurately, ensuring all work and equipment adhere to all state and federal regulatory requirements.

You will receive paid initial technical training at our Cary, NC Campus and Professional Development courses and team assignments. You will travel as needed to accompany and support customers during field rotations under the supervision of assigned mentors for up to six months. You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you learn passionately. You have very good presentation skills in the customer environment, and you show team orientation, communication skills and customer orientation to win together. You have a passion to deliver/develop customer centric solutions to customers. You work well without supervision, are a self-starter and can independently manage your time/schedule. You have a willingness to travel and flexibility, for both day to day work and required company training. You have high attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize tasks consistently. You have an ability to function within and support a team environment and build strong working relationships. You are dependable, flexible, and punctual.
Required skills to have for the success of this role:
Veterans or transitioning military with strong hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, driver’s license, and clean driving record encouraged to apply! Technical degree / certificate or minimum 3-5 years of experience with relevant work experience. Professional experience with mechanical and/or electrical installations, testing, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment preferred or a background in an area requiring technical knowledge, such as HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, Alarm and Monitoring systems), aircraft maintenance, manufacturing systems, power distribution, industrial printing, weapon systems, electronics, complex IT environments, etc. Use of remote support mixed reality tools when working with second level technical support. Valid driver's license and good driving record with ability to travel and provide service in assigned geography. Physical Requirements: Lifting 50lbs (floor to above waist/head), walking, ladder/stepstool climbing, bending, twisting, sitting work, squatting work, standing work, high-reach, fine grasping manipulation, good vision, and ability to work alone. Knowledge of computers and networking; PC competency to include utilization of Microsoft Office Suite products. Ability to understand and apply electronic, mechanical, and networking theory to install, diagnose, and repair equipment, including knowledge and use of all necessary tools and test equipment. Ability to understand and utilize technical vocabulary to perform tasks according to either verbal or written instructions Must be able to be compliant with hospital credentialing requirements. * Ability to work professionally with all levels of hospital organization staff. Excellent organization, time management, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel > 75% of the time.
Additional desired skills include: Self-motivated, utilize available resources for self-improvement and development. This position will be assigned to a specific region but may be used as a floater position, meaning that this person may need to travel (vehicle/airplane) to assist with business needs. Degree in electronics or equivalent combination of education and experience; BSEE/BSEET/BSME/BSMET.
