The Night Auditor embodies our values of community, sustainability, and “Haus”pitality, acting as an ambassador for the Gravity Haus experience at all hours.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Guest Services &amp; Community</strong></p><ul><li>Greet, check in, and assist late-night and early-morning guests, ensuring a genuine and elevated experience.</li><li>Cultivate loyalty and friendships within the Gravity Haus community, educating guests on membership benefits and offerings.</li><li>Handle check-in and check-out protocols using the property management system (PMS).</li><li>Assist with guest room orientation and property tours, ensuring a warm welcome.</li><li>Provide anticipatory guest service, addressing requests proactively and ensuring a comfortable stay.</li><li>Respond to and resolve guest concerns, including billing issues, service challenges, or emergencies, escalating per the phone tree when needed.</li><li>Deliver amenities, assist with luggage, and support maintenance or engineering needs as required.</li></ul><p><strong>Operations &amp; Communication</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the overnight bridge between Front Desk, Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments, ensuring seamless communication.</li><li>Use software to log maintenance issues and connect with operations teams.</li><li>Communicate efficiently with all Gravity Haus divisions, including participation in company meetings and intercompany Slack channels.</li><li>Maintain and follow up on guest request logs, welcome call logs, and complaint logs.</li><li>Manage room blocking, bedding needs, and inventory adjustments to optimize guest satisfaction; ensure rooms are blocked and inventory balanced for the next two days.</li><li>Reply to reservation inquiries from direct guests and partners.</li></ul><p><strong>Audit &amp; Accounting (in locations where applicable)</strong></p><ul><li>Complete nightly reconciliation of revenue and room charges, ensuring accuracy across all transactions.</li><li>Review and execute the night audit checklist, preparing and distributing daily reports.</li><li>Ensure arrivals are properly checked in and rooms filed under the correct guest name and room number.</li><li>Verify all registration cards are signed and credit cards on file; conduct bucket checks at least once per shift.</li><li>Balance cash drawers and credit card transactions, ensuring proper handling of a personal cash bank (sign in/out).</li><li>Print, review, and file emergency reports accurately.</li></ul><p><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong></p><ul><li>Previous front desk, accounting, or hotel operations experience preferred.</li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and numerical skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and stay attentive throughout overnight shifts.</li><li>Proficiency with PMS systems, Microsoft Office/Google Suite, and willingness to learn GH platforms (Alice, Slack).</li><li>Excellent communication and problem-solving skills; customer-focused and calm under pressure.</li><li>Prior experience with night audit or hospitality accounting functions preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Toast, Mews, Stripe, or other hotel software systems.</li></ul><p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).</li><li>Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. occasionally.</li><li>Manual dexterity for handling transactions and computer systems.</li><li>Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.</li></ul><p><strong>About Gravity Haus</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Gravity Haus is a community-driven adventure lifestyle brand with hotels, restaurants, and experiences that empower a modern way of travel.
