We’re looking for a CNC Programmer/Operator who enjoys both programming and running machines, not just sitting behind a computer. You will work on a variety of parts in a high-mix, low-volume environment using Mastercam, taking ownership from setup through machining while improving processes on CNC mills. We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to support a dynamic, low-volume, high-mix job shop environment on 1st shift. This role combines hands-on machining, Mastercam programming, and process optimization for 2D and 3D Haas CNC machining operations. The position works closely with production, quality and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and production feasibility of complex components. Typical materials include plastics, aluminum, and stainless steel, with expectations to maintain standard machining tolerances specified by print requirements. Additional fabrication and machining capabilities such as cutting, drilling, and milling are required.

Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills (5-axis) using Mastercam for 2D & 3D toolpaths; create, post, and optimize programs for production Review blueprints to interpret GD&T, material specifications, and tolerance requirements; ensure parts meet dimensional standards Develop and document setup instructions; select tooling and optimize speeds/feeds to improve efficiency, tool life, and cost control Perform part inspection using precision measuring tools to validate quality and conformance to specifications Manage machining workflow and support cross-functional teams (production, quality and engineering) with process development and continuous improvement initiatives Inspect machines and finished parts to ensure quality standards are met, while performing routine and preventative maintenance, monitoring machine performance and coolant levels, and maintaining tooling and production data in ERP systems Follow all safety requirements and handle materials and equipment in a safe and compliant manner Fabrication and machining such as cutting, drilling, and milling are required Assembly activities and other duties assigned Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you need to have a certain amount of knowledge and skills:
6+ years’ experience CNC machining and programming expertise Mastercam programming a must Solid quality control and inspection skills, including the use of precision measurement tools and interpretation of results to ensure part conformance Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on process improvement, efficiency, and minimizing production issues Excellent attention to detail with the ability to monitor operations and proactively identify and resolve potential quality concerns Good communication and teamwork skills Solid understanding of machine setup, tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and basic machine maintenance This role is physically active and requires standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods, as well as occasional computer work. The position involves frequent lifting of 25 to 50 pounds and assisting with items up to 150 pounds. Strong manual dexterity is needed to handle small components and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
We need a candidate that has a positive attitude and the words “can’t” and “impossible” are not a part of your vocabulary. You'll have the ability to learn quickly and work in a team environment to complete established procedures. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.
Availability
You must be available to work between the hours of 6am and 6pm Monday – Friday and some Saturdays, averaging 40-50 hrs./week.
