    "requisitionDescription": "<div><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong><u>Job Summary: Monday - Friday, 11pm - 7am&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Security officer ensures the safety of the area they are assigned to monitor. &nbsp; Their duties include monitoring the premises, responding to emergency situations and keeping track of all incidents on-site.</p><p><strong><u>Functions and Duties:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry.</li><li>Secure all exits, doors and windows during shift patrols and at end of shift operations.</li><li>Provide assistance to persons in need.</li><li>Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities.</li><li>Guarding and managing patient valuables in a secured area.</li><li>Protecting the organizations assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.</li><li>Responding to alarms and emergencies.</li><li>Follow procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, traffic control and accident investigations.</li><li>Escorting visitors and/or employees around and off premises.</li><li>Ensure compliance with OSHA, TJC, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.</li><li>Obtains help by sounding alarms.</li><li>Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policies and procedures.</li><li>Monitors and authorizes entrance of vehicles and people on the property.</li><li>Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.</li><li>Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.</li><li>Ensures operations of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer&rsquo;s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; submitting work orders; evaluation new equipment and techniques.</li><li>Meets hospital mission objectives and fosters positive guest relation and courtesy between security staff, patients, visitors, and other employees.</li><li>Will share opportunities to teach, motivate and uplift others.</li><li>Performs all other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Minimum Qualifications:</u></strong></p><p><u>Education</u></p><ul><li>High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.</li></ul><p><u>Experience</u></p><ul><li>&nbsp;2+ years within the security field preferred.</li></ul><p><u>Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations</u></p><ul><li>De-Escalation and restraint training obtained during orientation period and maintained.</li></ul><p><u>Skills and Abilities</u></p><ul><li>Proven experience as security officer or guard.</li><li>Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.</li><li>Familiarity with report writing.</li><li>Excellent surveillance and observation skills.</li><li>Emotional control/De-escalation skills.</li><li>Integrity.</li><li>Safety Management.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong><u>Physical Demands:</u></strong></p><p>This position may require lifting of objects that exceed 50 pounds, with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
