As an Information Technology Specialist on the Wallops Range Contract, you will provide senior-level system administration, network operations, and cybersecurity leadership for the Wallops Range systems that support sounding rockets, launch vehicles, UAS, balloons, and Artemis human spaceflight network operations. With more than 20 global tracking sites and frequent mobile deployments, your expertise in NASCOM, real-time data distribution, Range Mission Network, and mission-critical IT will directly contribute to the success of over 40 NASA missions. If you thrive in high-stakes, real-time operational environments and want to make a tangible impact on space exploration, this is the role for you.</span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;margin-bottom:6.0pt;'><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:</span></strong></span></p><div style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;'><ul style=\"margin-bottom:0in;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Provide comprehensive system administration and configuration management for all Range IT systems including servers, networks, NASCOM, video distribution, Technical Control, and specialized data processing systems (RADAC, VTARS, etc.).</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Lead implementation of cybersecurity programs (FISMA, RMF, STIGs, Continuous Monitoring, ATO maintenance) and develop/update Range IT Security Plans per NPR 2810.1F.</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Operate, maintain, and sustain NASA Communications (NASCOM) &ndash; the primary interface for RCC internal/external communications and real-time data distribution.</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Manage WAN/LAN interfaces and lines of demarcation for fixed and mobile range sites; develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and perform configuration control.</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Provide direct IT support during pre-launch, countdown, launch, and post-mission phases in RCC and MOCC; rapidly diagnose and resolve network, server, or data distribution anomalies.</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Support mobile/deployed IT components for range instrumentation during worldwide campaigns; perform system admin and troubleshooting in remote environments.</span></li><li style=\"margin: 0in; font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 13px;\">Mentor junior IT staff, lead complex troubleshooting efforts, and contribute to process improvement and training initiatives.</span></li></ul></div><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;margin-top:10.0pt;margin-right:0in;margin-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left:0in;'><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size:15px;\">MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</span></strong></span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;margin-bottom:3.0pt;'><span style=\"font-family: tahoma,sans-serif;\"><strong>Education:</strong></span></p><p style='margin:0in;font-size:13px;font-family:\"Arial\",sans-serif;margin-bottom:6.0pt;'><span style=\"font-size: 13px; font-family: tahoma, sans-serif;\">Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or closely related technical field from an accredited institution.
