    "description": "<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p>Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a Potential opportunity for a<strong> Psych Tech or LPN/LVN to support Naval Hospital Jacksonville in Kings Bay, GA.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements: Psych Tech</strong></p>\n<p>• <strong>Degree:</strong> Certificate.•<strong> Education:</strong> Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients.• <strong>Experience:</strong> 1 year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Core Duties:</strong>• Conduct or assist in treatment and rehabilitation of patients. Perform initial basic assessment procedures including standardized psychological testing, clinical interviewing, mental status examinations, substance abuse evaluations, and psychological and nursing assessment.• Identify mental health and nursing diagnoses, and provide patient education.• Observe, monitor, record, and report patient's progress.• Conduct or assist in conducting group and individual counseling, therapeutic community, and other related milieu activities.• Institute precautionary measures to prevent patient injury or suicide.• Assist patients with nutritional, hygiene, and comfort measures.• Obtain and record vital signs.• Coordinate with other agencies regarding specified care, treatment, prevention, rehabilitation, and administrative functions. Contact military and community agencies to obtain collateral information. Explain and interpret mental health services to patients or others.• Assist in, or arrange patient referral to public, private, and military community agencies.• Prepare and maintain records and reports pertaining to specialty services.• Assist with care of individuals experiencing acute and post-traumatic stress reactions.• Prepare and maintain treatment records.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Job Requirements: LPN/LVN</strong></p>\n<p>•<strong> Degree:</strong> Certificate</p>\n<p>• <strong>Education:</strong> Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).•<strong> Experience:</strong> One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation.• <strong>Licensure:</strong> Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Core Duties:</strong>• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.• Complete assigned patient care based on the patients’ conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information.• Observe, identify and respond to the patient’s needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient’s condition before, during, and following the procedure.• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.• Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families and employee satisfaction.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position will Offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Full time; Monday - Friday</li>\n <li>PTO and sick leave</li>\n <li>Paid federal holidays</li>\n <li>Medical/Dental/Vision/401k</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>For More Information Contact:</strong></p>\n<p>Lexie Pollard</p>\n<p>314-744-4162</p>\n<p>[email protected]</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Company Overview: </strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>At Spectrum, we utilize over thirty-five years of experience providing optimal solutions for federal agencies that are both innovative and cost-effective.
