    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a PRN (as needed) Interpreter</strong><strong> to be part of our Language Support Team.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>$19.20 hourly- Entry Level Pay – Higher starting compensation considered based upon experience.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Opportunities for Salary and Career Advancement Available! </strong></p>\n<h2>What We Offer You:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>403(b) retirement account with company matching</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What You'll Do:</h2>\n<p>The Interpreter will provide accurate written and oral language support services for patients, and internal staff. Responsibilities include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Interprets for medical providers/staff and patients</li>\n <li>Maintains monthly log of service activity</li>\n <li>Interprets from English to Spanish, vice versa</li>\n <li>Maintains current knowledge base of medical, dental and behavioral health terminology</li>\n <li>Completes annual certification</li>\n <li>Follows guidelines for accurate interpreting of information</li>\n <li>Receives and answers calls from patients</li>\n <li>Assists patients scheduling appointments</li>\n <li>Assists patients relaying messages/information to their medical providers</li>\n <li>Relays test results/messages to patients from their providers</li>\n <li>Follows proper guidelines to communicate information to patients in a compliant manner (HIPAA, etc.)</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What We're Looking For:</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma or equivalent.</li>\n <li>At least one year prior interpreting service experience in a healthcare setting preferred</li>\n <li>Bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish, both written and oral communication</li>\n <li>Interpreting/Translating Certifications preferred - Opportunity to obtain National Medical Interpreter Certification if not currently certified (we can help you get it - ask us how!)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with utilizing Microsoft office products (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Familiarity with utilizing multi-line phone systems, copier, scanner, fax and other office equipment.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of medical terminology preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>About Blue Ridge Health:</h2>\n<p>At Blue Ridge Health our mission is to improve Health, inspire Hope, and advance Healing through access to Compassionate, Affordable, and Quality Care.
