    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job Purpose:</span></p>\n<p>The purpose of the Youth Coordinator | Discipleship role at Journey Church is to provide discipleship and pastoral care to our female Youth minsitry members, and to work with the Youth Director and Youth Coordinators in creating and executing a holistic discipleship model for middle school and high school students that aligns with Journey Church's vision and strategy.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Shepherd and Care for Female Students</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide pastoral care for the female students through prayer, counseling, and relational connection — helping individuals navigate faith, purpose, and life transitions.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Oversee Youth Groups Ministry</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Manage and support all Youth small groups by training leaders, maintaining communication, and ensuring groups stay healthy, growing, and aligned with church vision.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Lead Volunteer Development and Resourcing for Offsite Small Groups</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruit, resource, and train volunteer teams for all Youth offsite small groups. Oversee care of leaders throughout the Spring/Fall semesters.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Oversee &amp; Execute Student Leadership</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Plan &amp; execute the student leadership process during the Spring and Fall semesters. Additionally the student leadership “summer intensive”</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Oversee Youth Dream Team</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide opportunities for students to serve on Sundays and Wednesdays and work alongside Ministry Leads to ensure students are being coached and discipled in these ministry areas.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Support Leadership Pipeline</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Work alongside the Youth Director to identify and develop emerging leaders through intentional training, and growth opportunities.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Manage Communication and Follow-Up Systems</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure consistent communication with leaders, volunteers, and students — including texts, emails, and event follow-up through Planning Center or equivalent tools.<br></li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaborate with Youth Team on Sermon Series &amp; Topics</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with the Youth Team to brainstorm sermon topics and bottom lines.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Collaborate with Creative and Campus Teams</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Partner with the Creative and Production Teams to execute service plans, stage designs, and event materials with excellence and alignment to Journey’s brand.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Support the Weekly Execution of Gatherings and Events</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in planning and coordinating logistics for services, retreats, and outreach events.</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preach and Teach Biblically Relevant Messages</span>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, practical, and culturally relevant messages that engage students and inspire spiritual growth at least 4 times a semester</li>\n</ul>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Additional:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communicate and create clarity around the values of Journey Church's culture within Journey Youth.</li>\n<li>Promote and serve at church wide ministry events.</li>\n<li>Perform other tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> <br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Sunday Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruit new leaders on Sunday Mornings.</li>\n<li>Do all others duties as assigned by campus pastor</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications / Experience:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong communicator and interpersonal skills</li>\n<li>Critical thinker</li>\n<li>Highly organized in time, material, and people resources</li>\n<li>Skilled in managing projects</li>\n<li>Capability to handle multiple projects effectively</li>\n<li>Experience in organizing multiple people.</li>\n<li>Organized; flexible; able to Multitask</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Spiritual Attributes:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior</li>\n<li>Commitment to personal spiritual growth</li>\n<li>Models standards and expectations of leaders within Journey Church</li>\n<li>Aligns with Journey's spiritual beliefs and staff values</li>\n<li>Spiritually mature: models the lifestyle of a passionate follower of Jesus</li>\n<li>Must attend Journey Church</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Supervisory Responsibilities:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This role holds no supervisory responsibilities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt\"><em>Journey Church complies with all laws prohibiting discrimination against employees and job applicants based on race, color, sex, age, national origin, disability, genetic information or veteran status.  Equal opportunity extends to all aspects of the employment relationship, including hiring, promotions, training, working conditions, compensation and benefits.  Journey Church’s policies and practices reflect its commitment to nondiscrimination in all areas of employment.</em></span></p>\n<p><em> </em></p>",
