By putting people at the center of our operations, we build strong connections, nurture innovation, and create fulfilling work experiences for all.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>About this Role and About You</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Reporting to the Mechanical Reliability Manager, this position supports Mechanical Reliability initiatives within North American Operations, focusing on continuous improvement and industry best practices aligned with Responsible Care principles and Mechanical Integrity requirements. The role involves evaluating equipment performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting capital projects to enhance reliability. Collaborating closely with site managers, plant engineers, and operations teams, the engineer ensures safety, production, quality, cost, and environmental goals are met while maintaining a safe workplace and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Qualifications</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required.</li>\n <li>Minimum of 7 years’ experience petrochemical, chemical, or refining industry</li>\n <li>SME Mechanical Integrity, Static and Pressure EquipmentDemonstrated ability in the practical application of the requirements of 29CFR 1910.119 regulations, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31 series Piping Codes, and ANSI/NB-23 National Board Inspection)</li>\n <li>Knowledge of risk-based inspection, equipment design, fabrication, repair codes, corrosion, damage mechanisms, and materials.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This includes:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Working knowledge of API 510, 570, 571, 572, 574, 576, 580 and 581 codes or recommended practices</li>\n   <li>Awareness of additional relevant codes such as ASCE, TEMA, NORSOK, CSA, AGA, DIN, ISO, EN, CGA, IEEE, ISEA, NEMA</li>\n   <li>Experience with SAP, Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, PCMS, etc.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Behavioral skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Organized, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines</li>\n   <li>Self-motivated & High sense of ownership (comfortable working autonomously)</li>\n   <li>Strong collaborator & effective communicator with multiple levels in the organization (verbal and written)</li>\n   <li>Humble, adaptable, & life-long learner</li>\n   <li>Data driven & process oriented</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Technical skills:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Coordination/consultation with site maintenance, operations and project group in the delivery of improved fixed equipment reliability & mechanical integrity</li>\n   <li>Develop and/or revise procedures relating to inspection, repair, and maintenance as required</li>\n   <li>Development of Fitness for Service inspection plans</li>\n   <li>Experience working with 3rd party engineering consulting firms who specialize in engineering evaluations</li>\n   <li>Solid experience in facilitating Root-cause Analysis and corrective actions</li>\n   <li>Experience managing small capital projects</li>\n   <li>Familiarity with implementing Risk Based Inspection Programs</li>\n   <li>Familiarity with Inspection Database Management Systems</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Responsibilities</p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through systematic evaluation and improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment availability, performance, and quality 20%</li>\n <li>Conduct root-cause investigations and address underlying issues affecting equipment reliability and operational efficiency. 15%</li>\n <li>Draft and review corporate engineering standards to improve performance and reliability of mechanical systems and equipment across operations 10%</li>\n <li>Aid in administration of the mechanical integrity program. Draft robust inspection & testing protocols. Assist with equipment inspection, repairs, & compliance. 10%</li>\n <li>Reviews and updates maintenance practices and procedures, including predictive and preventive maintenance programs, and communicates these requirements clearly to all sites. Supports sites in their efforts to attain “Best Practice” capability in their maintenance functions.. 5 %</li>\n <li>Support the parallel roll-out activities of the overall EHS organization. 5%</li>\n <li>Provides site maintenance engineering & issue resolution for high priority reactive needs and Outages/TAR as required. Partners with site maintenance teams to deploy best practices. 15%</li>\n <li>Supports development of site asset plans for equipment replacement and upgrades, ensuring alignment with operational needs, budget constraints, and strategic objectives. 5%</li>\n <li>Partners with sites to assess reliability risks. Utilizes risk management to produce short and long range capital plans. 5%</li>\n <li>Supports capital projects from conception through commissioning to achieve business objectives.
