As a <strong>Machine Operator,</strong> you&rsquo;ll set up and operate machines, adjust for materials used, verify dimensional requirements, and transfer materials to storage areas. This specialist works with unconventional materials, which requires specialized skills.</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Pittsburgh, PA</p><p><strong>Shift: Must be able to work any shift - will be steady after training</strong></p><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong><strong>What you&rsquo;ll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Learns Visual Control Boards</li><li>Learns how to load drill programs</li><li>Learn to communicate with Maintenance on KW</li><li>Learns production logs and documentation</li><li>Learns basic operation of&nbsp;KW controls</li><li>Learns basic operation of sand controls</li><li>Learns to manually jog KW components</li><li>Learns how to match tickets to patterns</li><li>Learns to adjust sand levels</li><li>Learns how to perform visual inspections- vents, pattern breakages, serial # and sand stickers</li><li>Places sleeves per standard work</li><li>Learns to clean patterns</li><li>Learns how-to put-on patterns properly</li><li>Learns to radio communicate with melt, work lead and supervisor</li><li>Learns how to perform against documented standard work</li><li>Learns autonomous maintenance</li><li>Engaged and motivated to meet commitments on work product</li><li>Learns and uses correct PPE based on hazard assessment</li><li>Inspect all PPE at end of each shift</li><li>Inspect all tool and equipment at the beginning of each shift</li><li>Situational safety awareness of surroundings and other personnel</li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly work area per 5S standards</li><li>Follows all corporate policies and procedures</li><li>Utilizes manufacturing&rsquo;s best practice</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you&rsquo;ll need:</strong></p><ul><li>Must be able to lift up to 75lbs</li><li>Must be able to follow a strict safety program</li><li>Must have the ability to function and communicate in a team setting</li><li>Must be attentive to detail</li><li>Must be punctual, predictable, and have regular attendance</li><li>Must be able to stand for long durations</li><li>Must be tolerant to extreme temperatures</li><li>Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Must have a good attitude and be adaptable to changes</li></ul><p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p><ul><li>Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.</li><li>This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays</li><li>Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Safety Activities:</strong></p><ul><li>Be aware of and observe all safety practices.
