Bachelor in the distance, the selection of pub bites and mouth-watering entrees, and the welcoming vibe makes the Owl's nest a guest and locals favorite spot! The Owl's nest is hiring for a seasonal server! The Server is responsible for ensuring the standards of service in assigned food and beverage outlets. They will take orders, deliver food, drinks and other items to guests. The Server will act as a liaison between the kitchen and guests. They will assist with maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Server will always conduct themselves in a manner which supports the guiding principles of Sunriver Resort: <em>Trust, </em><em>Commitment, and </em><em>Open and Honest Communication. </em>They shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times and for exemplifying the Sunriver Resort Culture as well as promoting Sunriver Resort as both the Destination and Employer of Choice!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Enjoy where you work! Sunriver Resort offers amazing benefits including:</p>\n<p>- Free Recreation Rentals</p>\n<p>- Free Golf</p>\n<p>- 50% Off Food & Beverage </p>\n<p>- 50% Off Gym Membership</p>\n<p>- Free Access to the Nature Center and Observatory </p>\n<p>- And More! </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Adheres to the steps of service using the service standards manual</li>\n <li>Takes guests orders using seat numbers and appropriate order taking sheets</li>\n <li>Enters orders accurately into POS systems</li>\n <li>Familiarizes themselves with all menus including three meal periods, lounge menu, wine and beverage lists</li>\n <li>Resets dining room according to meal period and table needs</li>\n <li>Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee and ensuring work stations are stocked</li>\n <li>Follows all proper bookkeeping and cash handling procedures</li>\n <li>Ensures all opening, on-going and closing side work is complete and signed <em>off </em>by a manager on duty</li>\n <li>Serves food and beverages to guests</li>\n <li>Informs and promotes guests of daily/nightly special</li>\n <li>Checks guests' identification to ensure minimum age requirement for consumption of alcoholic beverages</li>\n <li>Removes dishes, glasses, silverware or other item from tables and countertops and takes them to the kitchen for proper sanitation</li>\n <li>Offers creative selling of products to guests</li>\n <li>Answers questions and/or makes recommendations on menus items</li>\n <li>Cleans tables and/or counters & seats after guests are finished</li>\n <li>Explains how various menu items are prepared, describing cooking methods and ingredients</li>\n <li>Takes into consideration any special request, dietary issues made by the guest</li>\n <li>Performs food preparation duties such as preparing salads, appetizers, cold dishes, portioning desserts and brewing coffee</li>\n <li>Provides general resort information for guests</li>\n <li>Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Sunriver Resort including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest</li>\n <li>Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort amenities as well as any special events</li>\n <li>Interacts with resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information</li>\n <li>Up sells other resort services and amenities to guests</li>\n <li>Describes and recommends wine pairings to guests</li>\n <li>Brings wine selections to tables with appropriate glasses and pours the wine for guests</li>\n <li>Ensures final quality check on food and beverage prior to serving guests</li>\n <li>Monitors assigned tables for customer satisfaction, quality and additional service</li>\n <li>Accurately prepares guest bills and provides in a timely manner and ensures accurate payment is received</li>\n <li>Accurately reports tips & shift times in the appropriate location at the end of each shift</li>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>High School diploma required</li>\n <li>Prior office experience preferred</li>\n <li>Must be eligible to work in the United States</li>\n <li>Must have strong computer knowledge, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and the internet</li>\n <li>Must have a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving record</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain strong levels of business, especially in highly confidential and sensitive interactions</li>\n <li>Must be able to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment</li>\n <li>Must have excellent phone skills</li>\n <li>Must have strong verbal, written, analytical, presentation and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Must be highly professional in appearance and demeanor</li>\n <li>Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings or weekends</li>\n</ul>\n<p>#SunriverResort</p>",
