We, at Hands of Heartland, will always place the person before the program &mdash; striving daily to embody the message our name states.</strong></p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>What we are looking for:&nbsp;</strong>We are searching for compassionate and caring individuals to work <strong>Full-time</strong> and <strong>Part-time</strong> with the people that we support as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>What You&rsquo;ll Do:</strong> Work directly with people with developmental disabilities assisting them with day to day living activities in Residential Settings. You will support individuals with activities in a home environment and in community settings including meal planning, grocery shopping, or household chores. This position may require you to transport individuals in company vehicles.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Skills Needed for the Job:</strong> Ability to work independently in a fast paced, team-oriented environment. Flexible and willing to adapt to change. Know the value of communication. Desire to support people and encourage them to reach goals. &nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Personality Traits:&nbsp;</strong>Empathy. Patience. Understanding. Compassion. Adaptable. Respectful. Dependable. Sound Judgement.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Requirements:&nbsp;</strong>Must be 18 years old. Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license, car and auto insurance. Must be able to pass all background checks.&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Experience:</strong> <strong>Must&nbsp;</strong>have some experience in working with people with developmental disabilities. <strong>M</strong><strong>ust</strong> <span data-teams=\"true\" data-pasted=\"true\">understand how to handle behaviors.</span></p><p style=\"line-height: 1;\"><strong>Pay:&nbsp;</strong>$17 an hour.
