recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.\\n\\tMonitors direct digital control systems, running diagnostics, responding to system alarms, investigating, and repairing technology problems.\\n\\tUses EMS data to determine proper functioning of equipment.\\n\\tParticipates in remodeling of campus buildings and facilities including submitting cost estimates to supervisor.\\n\\tInspects campus buildings and facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.\\n\\tParticipates in performing a variety of semi-skilled and skilled work in the maintenance and repair of college buildings, facilities, and fixtures including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, and painting.\\n\\tCleans and maintains tools and equipment.\\n\\tLoads and unloads equipment and supplies.\\n\\tMonitors and maintains accurate records on preventive maintenance/repair work completed.\\n\\tResponds as needed to emergency situations requiring maintenance and repair work.\\n\\tPerforms other related duties as assigned.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:&nbsp; \\n\\n\\n\\tHigh school diploma or GED.\\n\\tFour (4) years of experience in performing journey-level technical (HVAC) work.\\n\\tCertification in HVAC systems preferred.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:\\n\\n\\n\\tKnowledge of operating building automation systems.\\n\\tKnowledge of troubleshooting direct digital control.\\n\\tKnowledge of the practices, methods, materials and equipment used in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.\\n\\tAbility to analyze building heating and air conditioning equipment and recommend modifications to achieve better operation and energy savings.\\n\\tKnowledge of basic arithmetic and units of measure\\n\\tKnowledge of safety practices relevant to the tasks performed and equipment employed. \\n\\tAbility to interpret and work from sketches.\\n\\tAbility to follow oral and written instructions. \\n\\tAbility to perform heavy manual labor. \\n\\tAbility to communicate effectively. \\n\\tKnowledge of safety practices relevant to the area of employment. \\n\\tAbility to organize, plan and prioritize work.\\n\\n\\n&nbsp;\\n\\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\\n\\nWork requires the ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds independently and be able to perform strenuous physical labor, and the ability to exert 50 to 75 pounds of force frequently.&nbsp;
