Description
Overview:
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is an award-winning, nonprofit, nonsectarian human services organization founded in 1943. Today, it is the largest provider of licensed outpatient community behavioral health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. WJCS delivers innovative programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds throughout the county.
We are seeking two dedicated full-time Early Childhood Clinicians to join our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive mental health services to children age 0-5 and their families in a variety of settings including families’ homes, early childhood centers, and our Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics throughout Westchester County. Services include intake, assessment, home visiting, play therapy, parenting groups, and consulting for children exhibiting challenging behavior.
The salary range is $70,000–$80,000, determined by licensure, plus a $5,000 differential for bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency, for a total compensation range of $70,000–$85,000.
Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop written treatment plans with clients (collaborative documentation) in compliance with CCBHC regulations. Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and agency reports. Provide evidence-based treatment via individual, family, and group therapy. Consult with parents, caregivers, teachers, and childcare providers regarding behavioral concerns. Provide late night coverage as required, one evening per week. Attend agency in-service training and staff meetings. Collaborate as an integrated member of the Early Childhood team. Stay current on best practices in therapy with young children and families.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications :
Masters Degree in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited school. Possession of New York State licensure (LMFT, LMSW, LMHC, or LCSW); LCSW strongly preferred. Knowledge of child development and behavior management. Familiarity and experience with evidenced-based practices. Bilingual English/Spanish required for one opening; preferred for the other opening. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse, multicultural populations. Ability to travel for home visits, including one evening per week up to 7:00pm; reliable transportation required. Proficiency with computer skills and electronic health records.
