Description

description At atmosfair, we are pursuing the ambitious goal of increasing our own production of energy-efficient stoves to 10 million units per year. With our own production facilities, distribution partners, and a high-level government network across many countries, we are well positioned to realize our vision: equipping all of Sub-Saharan Africa with stove factories that help stop deforestation and build the “Great Green Wall” to combat desertification. O Our two existing stove factories in Rwanda and Nigeria manufacture the best stoves in Africa – high-quality products made of stainless steel with a ten-year guarantee and about 80 percent savings in firewood consumption. Our partnerships with microcredit banks, farmers' associations, etc. help with the distribution. For our team in Berlin, we are looking for a Project Manager, “Efficient Stoves” Africa and Asia (m/f/d) Your mission Project management: Management and controlling of Efficient Stoves projects, driving force in the implementation and management of expansion activities, as well as management of service providers throughout the entire project duration.  Market expansion: Support in developing new countries and locations for our stove production with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa. Manufacturing process optimisation and operational expansion: In existing projects, you will optimise manufacturing processes, increase productivity and manage the expansion. On-site assignments and team leadership: Regular visits with one to two weeks' presence in the project countries to monitor progress and expand contacts and networks. Negotiations, relationship and contract management, and team leadership: As the central point of contact with governments and partners, you will conduct negotiations, maintain relationships and draft contracts on your own responsibility. Your tasks will include screening partners, hiring staff and leading and developing an international team with the aim of ensuring the effectiveness of project implementation and the achievement of corporate goals. Your profile An above-average degree in (industrial) engineering, economics, technical environmental protection or natural sciences. A hands-on mentality and experience in developing countries. At least 2 years of relevant professional experience with a practical, technical focus in a company. Expertise and voluntary commitment in the field of environmental/climate protection. Initiative and motivation to make a difference in climate protection. Negotiation-level proficiency in English. What we offer Meaningful work that actively contributes to climate protection. A full-time position initially limited to two years, with the intention of extending it to a permanent contract thereafter. Payment in accordance with the top rates of the public sector. 30 days of annual leave. The opportunity to work from our office in Barcelona for 1-2 weeks. A bright, green office in the centre of Berlin. Access to a network of climate protection experts. Committed colleagues in a non-profit organisation with flat hierarchies. Internal training and exchange formats. Access to the DRV Travel Industry Card. Canteen discount, fresh fruit every week, workshop for cyclists and other benefits.
