We seek employees who bring different and innovative ways of seeing the world and solving problems.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Courier II is responsible for the pick-up, transportation and delivery of lab specimens, medical records, medications, and patient related documentation among various departments within Fred Hutch clinics and campus, off-site clinics and via shuttle service or by driving a Fred Hutch vehicle.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This is a full-time, hourly position. The hours could be 8:30am-5:00pm OR 10:30am-7:00pm. Location could be South Lake Union campus, OR Issaquah/Overlake sites. </strong></p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Complete all duties of a Courier I and:                                                                                                                        </li>\n <li>Train couriers as needed.</li>\n <li>Maintains technical knowledge of all courier systems and assist with trouble shooting.</li>\n <li>Maintains knowledge of at least two campus routes and all medication courier routes.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Required:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Degree, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li>\n <li>Pharmacy Assistant license (must be able to attain a Pharmacy Assistant License within 45 days of hire).  </li>\n <li>Valid Driver’s License.    </li>\n <li>Basic computer skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to use effective customer service skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.</li>\n <li>Ability to communicate in person as well as in writing professionally and effectively.</li>\n <li>Excellent multi-tasking and interpersonal skills.</li>\n <li>Knowledge of computerized or automated system operations and record keeping practices.</li>\n <li>Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure.</li>\n <li>Ability to lift to 50 pounds using proper techniques.</li>\n <li>Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.</li>\n <li>Ability to consistently walk during the majority of an eight-hour shift and/or an average of 10-12 miles per day.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:</strong> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Knowledge and practice of safe blood borne pathogen handling techniques.</li>\n <li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The hourly pay range for this position is from $22.22 to $31.63 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
