    "description": "<p>The Accounting (Sr.) Manager will work with the Accounting Director to manage the global accounting operations of Astroscale Holdings Inc. As an Accounting (Sr.) Manager, you will provide support to Accounting Director on external and internal audit examinations. To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare error-free accounting reports and their results. </li>\n<li>Conduct the month-end and year-end closing process. </li>\n<li>Analyze the financial statements for any discrepancies and issues and take actions for improvement. </li>\n<li>Manage cash payments for ASHD. </li>\n<li>Work with the VP Accounting and Accounting Director on strategic matters pertaining to group-wide accounting including but not limited to intercompany transfer frameworks, system enhancement, etc. </li>\n<li>Work with the broader Office of the CFO team on matters pertaining to financial reporting, fundraising, etc. </li>\n<li>Review accounting systems and make suggestions for improvements. </li>\n<li>Stay up to date knowledge of the latest business trends. </li>\n<li>Manage and maintain general ledgers. </li>\n<li>Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. </li>\n<li>Conduct account reconciliation regularly. </li>\n<li>Provide support in external audit. </li>\n<li>Provide support in tax returns and tax audit. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Requirements</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting.  </li>\n<li>Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices. </li>\n<li>Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. </li>\n<li>Ability to meet deadlines. </li>\n<li>Excellent verbal/written communication skills in Japanese and business-level verbal/written communication skills in English. </li>\n<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel (Vlookup, Pivot, etc.) </li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Desirable experiences and skills</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role at a listed company. </li>\n<li>Experience in consolidated accounting. </li>\n<li>Ability to solve complex problems. </li>\n<li>Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Position Details</span></p>\n<p>Entity: Astroscale Holdings Inc.   </p>\n<p>Location: Sumida-ku, Tokyo   </p>\n<p>Department: Office of the Chief Finance Officer (OCFO)   </p>\n<p>Reports to: Accounting Diector (based in Tokyo HQ)  </p>\n<p>Direct Reports: None</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">About Astroscale </span></p>\n<p>Astroscale is the first private company with a vision to secure the safe and sustainable development of space for the benefit of future generations, and the only company solely dedicated to on-orbit servicing across all orbits. </p>\n<p>Founded in 2013, Astroscale is developing innovative and scalable solutions across the spectrum of on-orbit servicing missions, including life extension, in-situ space situational awareness, end-of-life services, and active debris removal, to create sustainable space systems and mitigate the growing and hazardous buildup of debris in space.
