    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p><strong>Job Summary</strong></p>\n<p>The Health Services Assistant supports the Health Services department by assisting with employee care, administrative functions, and communication. This role plays a key part in promoting employee health, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting daily Health Services operations in a fast-paced production environment.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Lead pre-shift health screenings as assigned</li>\n <li>Assist with employee care and first aid under the direction of Health Services staff</li>\n <li>Provide translation services (English/Spanish/Creole) for employees during Health Services visits, physical therapy appointments, and related interactions</li>\n <li>Assist with hearing tests and other basic health-related screenings</li>\n <li>Complete filing, data entry, and maintain accurate Health Services records</li>\n <li>Support coordination of employee care, including appointments and follow-ups as needed</li>\n <li>Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li>\n <li>Assist with Health Services programs such as stretches, early intervention, and follow-up initiatives</li>\n <li>Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental and operational needs</li>\n <li>NOTE: this description is not intended to be all-inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization; these duties are considered marginal.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications (Required)</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be 18 years of age or older</li>\n <li>Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship</li>\n <li>Strong willingness to learn and develop new skills</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>CPR and/or First Aid Certification</li>\n <li>Previous experience in healthcare, occupational health, or related field</li>\n <li>Basic computer and data entry skills</li>\n <li>Experience with translation or interpretation in a professional setting</li>\n <li>Bilingual in English and Spanish (speak, read, and write)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Acceptable Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)</strong></p>\n<p>Candidates may hold <strong>one or more</strong> of the following (not required for hire):</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)</li>\n <li>Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)</li>\n <li>Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)</li>\n <li>Paramedic</li>\n <li>Home Health Aide (HHA)</li>\n <li>Physical Therapy Aide</li>\n <li>Athletic Trainer</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Certification is not required at the time of hire; however, candidates must agree to obtain an approved certification as a condition of employment within a reasonable timeframe after hire.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times</li>\n <li>Ability to work both independently and as part of a team</li>\n <li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail</li>\n <li>Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion</li>\n <li>Flexibility to work extended hours as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Fast-paced industrial/production environment</li>\n <li>Frequent interaction with employees across departments</li>\n <li>May involve standing, walking, and assisting employees throughout the shift</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Base hourly range of $19.85 per hour. </li>\n <li>Comprehensive benefits packages include Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.</li>\n <li>401(k)</li>\n <li>Disability Insurance</li>\n <li>Paid holidays</li>\n <li>Our company supports your career growth with ongoing learning and training programs.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Equal Opportunity Employer.</strong> All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
