Come work where you play—and help us inspire healthier, happier lives for everyone!</p>\n<h2>Job Description</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Essential Duties:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain constant, attentive surveillance of all swimmers during the youth triathlon team practice.</li>\n <li>Use effective scanning techniques to monitor lanes, walls, and pool activity.</li>\n <li>Identify and respond immediately to any signs of distress, fatigue, or unsafe behavior.</li>\n <li>Perform water rescues, first aid, CPR, and utilize an AED when needed.</li>\n <li>Activate and follow the Triathlon Teams Emergency Action Plan (EAP) during incidents.</li>\n <li>Coordinate with coaching staff to ensure a safe training environment.</li>\n <li>Enforce all pool safety rules, lane etiquette, and facility policies.</li>\n <li>Monitor deck conditions and remove or report hazards such as wet floors or misplaced equipment.</li>\n <li>Ensure training equipment (kickboards, buoys, lane lines) is used safely and does not obstruct swimmers.</li>\n <li>Communicate safety concerns or behavioral issues to coaches promptly.</li>\n <li>Maintain professional vigilance without engaging in coaching or instruction.</li>\n <li>Stay rescue‑ready at all times, with proper positioning and equipment in hand.</li>\n <li>Maintain all required certifications (Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, First Aid).</li>\n <li>Complete accurate and timely incident or accident reports.</li>\n <li>Conduct pre‑practice safety checks of the pool and deck area.</li>\n <li>Ensure equipment is stored properly post‑practice and report any maintenance needs to coaches.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Job Requirements</h2>\n<p><strong><u>Minimum Job Requirements:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Minimum age of 18 years and older. </li>\n <li>American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification and First Aid, CPR & AED Certification required.</li>\n <li>Strong communication and customer service skills along with the ability to work with individuals of all ages.</li>\n <li> Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. </li>\n <li>Ability to maintain good physical condition and maintain professional skills of alertness, responsible, good judgment, cleanliness, endurance, and ability to work with all ages.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><em>JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions.  Specified criteria may vary by Department. </em></strong></p>",
